Totally OT- I am in LOVE with UN. I think it is such an interesting and amazing place to visit. Definitely my best field trip EVER!!
The tour guide when we actually physically visited the UN was kind of boring.
But I admire it as an organization. Though it's not always the most effective.
The stupid tour guide didn't let us stay in the General Assembly room for more than 20 seconds.
Oh, and we met the ambassador from Niger and he took our questions. Though it took him a long time to answer a question because English was, um, his 4th language I think.
We were there to learn about world issues and what we can do to help. It was great, we stayed in Times Square and saw sights and stuff.
Plus, there was this hilarious guy from the Jane Goodall institute who did a monkey call.
And this lady who was like "THESE PEOPLE...ARE MY FRIENDS. AND THEY ARE DYING... OF THIRST."
You had to be there. It really doesn't *sound* funny but she repeated that over and over and over again.
Ummm yeah. Village of 100. Quite interesting.
