Hi everyone!! :wave2: I just wanted to say thank you for all the help you've given us up to this point. I don't know what I would have done without this board and all you women (and some men too). :thumbsup2 I can't imagine planning a Disney wedding without knowing about these boards. DFTW should tell all potential Disney brides about this site... ::yes::

Anyway, I just wanted to share that with y'all!!! :goodvibes Thanks for helping make our lives a little easier. :wave2:

I am so excited for you! I hope you hang around some after you are married to help those of us who will still be here!

It's getting close isn't it! I know, I wish I'd known about these boards long before our wedding. I just found it a few weeks before, lurked for awhile, then logged on after the wedding. I love reading about everyone's wedding plans and see all of the pictures. It's so fun to remember our magical day!

Best Wishes :goodvibes

Hey happylalagirl,

Which loaction are you getting married as I am getting married the same day?

Doodles - get out of town!!!! That is soooo cool!!!! We are getting married at Sea Breeze Pointe at 2 p.m. with a reception at the Living SEas to follow and then a desssert party on the French upper island. :sunny: I'm glad I'm not the only coming down to the wire... where are you getting married and celebrating/??? Where are you staying? How long will you be there??? Maybe we'll meet up in the parks!! I always thought it would be so cool to meet another Disboarder in the parks... :goodvibes

I just wanted to second that emotion! I just love to hear from all the past brides...it gives us waiting brides someone to live vicariously through!

Enjoy your wedding and I can't wait to see pictures of your special day!

I've been inspired by Mary626 and Kammie's sister to write a thorough trip report, so I'll be back!!! I've been waiting a LOOOOOOOOOOONG time for this wedding. I may only be 30 years old, but DF and I have been together since our Sr. year of high school and we have a 10 year old daughter... so, our families are saying, "Finally..." :rotfl: It's all good, though. I can't wait for the big day!! I'll be here for the long haul!! :sunny:

Hey Happylalagirl,

We are getting married at the Wedding Pavillion at 2pm and then having a cake cutting and champagne reception at Grand Floridian. After that as there will only be the 2 of us, we will be going for a romantic meal somewhere. Still not sure where yet. Then the next day we are flying to St Lucia for a week's honeymoon before flying home to London to enjoy our first Christmas as Mr & Mrs.

Is your daughter going to be flower girl/ bridesmaid?

If you are wearing your mickey hats round the parks then I will say hello!

Emma

Cool!!! We are arriving at Disney on 12/7 and will be staying until 12/16 when we leave for our honeymoon in Aruba for one week. We will be back in Orlando on the 23rd where we will continue our vacation over Christmas at his folks house in Kissimmee. We will be returning to NJ on the 28th so we can celebrate New Years as Mr. & Mrs. in New York - if it's not tooooo cold...

We already bought our ears and are planning on wearing them everyday we are in the parks!!! I am soooooooooooo excited!!!! :Pinkbounc :woohoo: :bounce:

We fly to Orlando on December 5th so we are there for a week. This will be my HTB's first trip and my 6th holiday there but in 2004 I lived and worked at Disney for 6 months. I left there Dec 10th 2004 and this will be my first trip back. I'm looking forward to showing him all there is to do plus do a few new things.

Where do you pick the hats from? I've heard that you get special treatment when you wear them!

Happy Lala,
You have a great story and I am so happy for you! You deserve it! I can't wait to hear all about it. We are deciding between an Epcot or a SeaBreeze Point ceremony and then a Living Seas reception. I thought being at Epcot for both might be easier due to the transportation. I can't wait to hear about your experience and see your pictures! You and your DF are adorable! I wish you the best.

I bought ours in Downtown Disney. I have seen them in Epcot, Magic Kingdom. I'm not sure if they're in the other parks as well. We bought a pair of top hat ears for our ring bearer also... they won't fit him but it will be cute taking a few pics of him trying to wear them anyway... lol... :goodvibes He'll look adorable no matter what... :sunny: Especially when he walks down the aisle with our daughter/Jr. Bridesmaid. They so enjoy each other's company. He's 5 and looks up to her... it's so cute. :wizard:

I totally second the Thank You!! :cheer2:

Anyway- you can order the Bride + Groom ears from Rosie Carabbia! (or your floral coordinator!)

Hi Lalagirl,

I bet you must be about ready to jump out of your skin. Just 3 months to go! So exciting. Congratulations!

Vicky

ItGirl - thank you. Once we get our pics from Randy from our engagement shoot I'm going to change the signature pic... I can't wait to experience everything. We were going to get married in one of the countries and then do a Living Seas reception but we didn't find any that we really fell in love with. Sea Breeze Pointe is only a few mins from Epcot - it's actually one of the Epcot resorts because you can walk to Epcot on the pathway right from the Boardwalk resort. It is a beautiful setting. We took the time to go and see it again when were down last week...

Vicky - I am about ready to jump out of my skin. I am not known as the patient one in this relationship. :rotfl: Thankfully, my fiance is. ::yes:: I just put our invitations together even though we aren't mailing them out for several weeks yet... I wanted to make sure they were done. I am trying to keep myself busy and also continue to save money to pay for everything. We are very excited!!! :Pinkbounc  :cheer2: :yay: :yay: :bounce:

What kind of invitations did you get? Did you use Disney theming on them? Just curious. :goodvibes

I'm getting inpatient too. I can't wait. I still have to loose a few pounds before the day. Trying to loose a few before my trip to San Francisco in 2 weeks.

The days leading up to the big day will be busy but I am going to try and take it in my stride.

You must post your engagement photo's and I will want to see the picture of the ring bearer and your daughter. They sound like they are going to be fantastic!

Congratulations to you and Doodles. I can't believe that you are getting married on the same day at the same time, it's so exciting.
I hope you both have a wonderful day, don't forget we will want to see loads of pictures!

happylalagirl & Doodles - Congrats to both of you on your upcoming weddings and on picking such a great date. That is my middle DS's birthday. He will turn 8 on your wedding day--pictured below with Dad.

Also, happylalagirl, your 5 year old ringbearer won't be too bad in the tophat. Our DS used his as his "flower basket" at our renewal and then we took the ribbon off and he wore it after that. (Well, as you can see, he wore it before the ribbon came off too!)

Congrats again to both of you!!!

Hey!!

I'll be getting married around the same time as you guys - im getting married on the 5th December! I'll be wearing my ears around the parks too so i'll keep a look out for you! If you see me pop over and say hello :goodvibes
