Just viewed the SSR&S preview rooms!!

I just returned from the DVC sales office yesterday and while taking a friend on the tour had the chance to see the construction of the SSR&S preview sales villas. I was surprised to see them being constrcuted at the current sales office, I thought the sales office would move with the new resort. The location of the preview rooms are where the previous VWL rooms were. They were painting the walls and I did see the colors. One wall was off-white and the other was a mild brownish color (not good describing colors). Apparently the room layouts will be very close to BWV, VWL and BCV. The actual construction of the SSR&S seemed to be moving along. If I can answer any questions just let me know. By the way, my good friend joined buying 170pts @ BCV.

That's odd. We stayed at the BWV last week and when we stopped in to the DVC sales office, they were in the process of moving out and re-doing those rooms so they could be put back into inventory. It just seems strange that they would be constructing SSR preview rooms at the same time they are preparing to move the sales offices.

BTW, I'm not disputing this report, I just don't understand the logic behind this.

Could you please clarify which resort you saw this in? BWV, VWL or BCV??

I was just there a few days ago.I didn't see the rooms but I can verify that they are NOT moving the sales center out.The entrance is now in the rear.It appears the boardwalk side is being redone.A guide told me they wouldn't be moving over to SSR for a while.

We actually wandered into the back of the sales center by accident while looking for a shortcut to the Boardwalk. The person I asked said that they were preparing to move out. Of course, it's possible that I just spoke to someone who didn't know the real story. Funny as it sounds, cast members aren't always the most knowledgeable folks around. Now that I think about it, that person was a Boardwalk cast member, not a DVC guide. It's very possible that he just gave me the wrong information.

If that's the case I apologize for spreading bad information.

I'm not sure how long they are going to keep the current sales office, however, I'm sure of what I saw and heard. They dismantled the VWL preview rooms and are constructing the SSRS rooms in there place. They may free up some room at the boardwalk but not all just yet.

as RoutemanDan stated they are not moving out yet. We were staying in the first room when you entered the hallway and all day long the DVC guides were going past our door with potential buyers. They are not moving out until the SS&S is registered with the state of Fla. That was my understanding from the members update meeting.
