My vacation dates for this year fall exactly on Blackout Dates. I miss FD by one day. Very frustrating! I know there are many of us that go to WDW every year, or even more often. I would love a discount somewhere, but it seems like luck is not working out for us. They wouldn't permit a bounceback with my dates and now the FD is out too. I wish they took into account the die-hard fans--wish there was a point system or something where we could accumulate discounts or specials based on our time spent in WDW. I am dreaming, aren't I? Big bummer!

Can you move the day you are leaving up by one day? You would qualify then.

I did try that already. I am staying at Poly--Garden View. If I move it up one day to get the FD, they say they only have lagoon or theme park rooms available. Makes the room more expensive, so then it doesn't make sense to get savings from FD. Ends up being about $700 more with FD because of the extra night and the view. Thanks though... I appreciate any suggestions anyone may have.

I am a huge Poly fan myself but I would consider what is more important to you staying at the Poly or getting FD.. Maybe you can still do deluxe but a different resort? Or even consider a fantastic mod like CSR? Honestly thats what I would do is check on another resort...

Yes, sounds like your options are to choose between a specific room level at Polynesian or move resorts to get free dining. Often these choices come into play. There's also nothing wrong with going without free dining or without a dining plan at all, if the choice of resort means more to you than the dining plan. At a deluxe resort, free dining often doesn't match the savings of a room discount.
