Just upgraded from Santa Fe to Sequoia Lodge

So excited - just decided to change hotel to Sequoia Lodge. I am sure we would have been more than happy at the Santa Fe but my DD who is 6 kept saying she couldn't wait to go swimming and I kept telling her we didn't have a pool but it didn't seem to sink in!!! SO anyway I thought "what the heck ...." it's our only holiday this year - let's have a pool!

I'd be grateful to hear lots of things about Sequoia Lodge for anybody who knows anything. We're going in August

I love the Seqouia i stay there every year-i just got back from my first ever stay at the Santa Fe and to be honest it was just as good, but if you want a pool then it's a no go!

The Seqouia Lodge is really nice and judging by the decor in the Santa Fe (looks freshly re-painted) and the white sheets currently draped all over the Seqouia Lodge and the areas that aren't draped over looking particularly sparkly, it looks to me like the resort is getting a make over!

It will be fab you will love it, been going there since 1997!

I think you have made a good choice as you are going in the summer so it will be nice to break up the day by having a swim. The parks are open later so there is time for this.

I only ever go swimming when we stay during the summer months.

I agree it's the swimming pool and the location that set Sequoia Lodge apart from the Santa Fe and Cheyenne, otherwise for me there is very little to choose between the 3.
I'm sure you'll enjoy your stay there.
