Just tried to book new Italian restaurant in Epcot.

We are going in October, I tried to book the new Pantina (?) restaurant that will be taking over for Alfredos and the CM told me that they are not taking reservations for that restaurant until 2008. She did confirm that they will taking over after Aug. 31st but said I couldn't make a reservation for our Oct trip and no reservations were being taken until 2008. Does this mean maybe the restaurant will only take walk-ups? Has anyone heard differently? Thanks, Linda

By what I've heard - they are closing in Aug but going to refurb before reopening. So, there will be no Italian resturant at all for months.

I've heard that they are going to reopen right away and then doing a larger rehab in 2008. Does anyone know when this will be official? Linda
