My 13 yr old dd is not happy. Yes, she has been dreaming of another trip to DW, but she doesn't want to take any days off of school. She really busted my bubble. I booked this trip in April and I was all excited and then pow......with one sentence from her I am in the dumps:sad2:

I have our trip booked for Nov 15 - 20. She will miss 2 1/2 days of school. I told her that this was the last year for missing days because I will not take her out in High School. I told her she could stay home at a friends.

Our youngest dd, 11, is very excited. I don't know how to feel. I am hoping her mood will pass. I told one of her friends how she was behaving and they called her an idiot!!

Just had to let it out:sad1:

If you cant change the dates maybe she will change her mind as the trip gets closer. Dont they get a week off for Thanksgiving? What about then?? She may not want to leave her friends; I am assuming this is her last year of Jr. High and she probably has alot of senior stuff to do also.

I have checked on changing the dates, but I already have tickets to MVMCP. Also, I am going at that time because 1/2 of the trip will be during a slow time. I am hoping that she will change her mind. Once she gets back into school and starts getting sick of it, maybe she will be ready to go away.

My 11 year old wants me to leave her home so she can have special vacation with her parents. Yes, she is still in the adorable stage and not in the teens yet!!

My mom got so tired of trying to plan vacations around SCHOOL that she said "Enough!" and took me out completely and homeschooled me.

That's ONE option.... :rolleyes1 just kidding!

trust me, once she gets back into the grind, she'll change her mind! Right now she is probably just thinking about how she misses her friends but by November, she'll be itching to leave for WDW!
