I was in town yesterday and noticed that Thomson had a deal on currency which had a rate of 1.97. $2000 for £1016ish give or take a few £££'s

M&S rate was 1.96.

I was very tempted to buy some, i might just have to on Thursday. lol.

With you not going for another 2 months you still have time to get a Nationwide credit card, £1016 would get you $2,072 on todays rate, hopefully more when you travel (although not guaranteed). Also keep your money in the bank another 3 months until it has to be paid which would earn approx another £15 interest, On todays rates using a card would save you £50+
