Just the two of us- WDW May 09 countdown on! **UPDATE Trying to change plans AGAIN!**

I think May 17th a Epcot at 3 pm would be great !! You already hve a list of guests!!!:rotfl2: Just joking Kara take it slow and it will work out !!!

I am thinking of changing the ressies to 7 days instead of 10...I think without me having a job that would make more sense. I would save about $600...and I would go with the original dates of the 9th through 16th (or 17th..depending on flights)...what do you guys think?

This means I would probably forfeit my F! package since we wouldn't be there for the showing...but I can't help but think I need to conserve a little! :rotfl:

I'd do what you have to do...even though you might be giving up days. But if this is something you want, stay for the entire time!!

I'd probably cut it back. 8-days is still enough for an awesome trip and longer than a lot of people get to go (especially this year). This way you get the best of both worlds - a great, full trip to Disney, and the satisfaction of knowing you were still able to save a little!

I'm still bummed I won't be there when you have your meet-up

That's a good idea! A week in Disney is still a very full vacation! You'll still get to see and do everything you want to do!

Thanks guys :)

The reason why I wanted to do 10 was to take the time out to go visit family. I would have to cut back on that time if we only did 8 days...so I don't know how that would affect my schedule or my ADRs yet. Haven't really checked into it. We will have to see.

I feel like crap today...ran to the bathroom because I thought I was gonna throw up. I am about to take Rylan to the sitter's house today and come home and just veg on my bed to see if I feel better.

Hey! Do whatcha gotta do! We usually only spend a week at Disney and have always had plenty of time to do what we want to do. I say, forget about seeing family and spend the whole vacation absorbing all things Disney! Then you save on days and car rental! Trust me, once you're there, you wont want to take time away to go and see family! What if you went 5/8-5/16, the SWA flights on the 8th are $20 cheaper/person (sale ends today though!) Just a thought!!

Thanks guys :)

Sorry you're feeling crappy! Chill out in your jammies and DIS all day long!

OK, so I've got nothing better to do right now so I was playing on the WDW website for you! I know you want to stay at CSR, but I checked out Pop for you and this is what I came up with, humor me!!

May 8-17
Pop Century MYW + 9 day base tickets = $952.68
SWA = $358.40
TOTAL = 1311.08

Pretty big savings over your original pkg and this includes flight! I know it's not CSR, but Pop is a great resort (we've stayed there 3 times) and trust me, you won't be spending much time there anyway!

Thanks guys :)

Feel better  I've had a terrible cold and have all but lost my voice!!!

Regarding the last post...I have to see my family :( I haven't seen my cousins since 2002...and its been even longer since I have seen my uncle. I haven't seen my aunt and oldest cousin since 2006 and they haven't seen Rylan since then either. I am really really close with my aunt. They are already planning on taking time off to see us.

Now onto this one lol. I have seriously been considering POP...I really don't want to stay there especially since CSR upgraded all their rooms. Also- don't forget my dad is putting $200 towards airfare so I only pay the difference. Anyway back to rooms...I really need a fridge which was a major plus with CSR...but I guess I could join a fridge swap...

Ok here is what I have without sacrificing a day.

POP May 8th-18th- 9 day MYW PH $1124.53
SWA- $358.40
Rental $126
(keep in mind I have already paid $540 towards the balance)

Grand total- $1408.93 (figuring in the $200 from dad)

Here is what I have for CSR
(My original plans)
CSR May 9th-19th 10 day MYW PH $1636.02
SWA- $398
Rental- $126

Grand total- $1960.02

So I would save a little over $500 to change my itinerary without losing any days.

I might book a one way on SWA down there and one back on NWA just to take care of messing with the luggage on the way home. It would end up only costing me about $10 more to do it that way including checked baggage fees. I would have a one hour layover but that doesn't bother me. So what do you guys think?

Go with Pop! It really is a fun place and Rylan will love seeing all the larger-than-life icons. Saving $500 and still getting to go for the same amount of time? Completely worth it!

I hope you feel better too:hug:

Ok so just read that anyone traveling on United Airlines is exempt from the checked baggage fee if they use resort check in...and if I went with them on the way home and am really exempt from the baggage fee then I would save about 20 bucks. Anyone know about this?

I completely agree with troobabiee! Saving the $500 is huge! CSR rehabed rooms are nice, but $500 in your pocket is even nicer!! Rylan will love the Pop theming. You can upgrade to CSR next year....YES, you will be returning next year!!!

I know nothing about United Airlines!! You might want to post on the transportation board!

Oh, I forgot to add, you will need that extra $500 because you can drop $500 in WDW easily on food and souvies! With your TS & CS meals, expect to pay $40-$50/day on food, tips & gratuity for you and Rylan.

Yep I think I figured it would cost between $400 and $500 for food while we are there since I will also be ordering from garden grocer. I will be going light on souvies (hopefully!). Will Disney charge me a fee if I downgrade?

I don't think they'll charge you because you're still before the 45 day window!

P.S. I think you can request a fridge from the Pop if you can't find a swap.

Sweet! I FINALLY got my Pell Grant refund and student loan check today so I should be able to purchase airfare tonight! I have to call Disney to change my ressies now.

I know I can request one but its like $12 a day :(

Yippie, $$$!!! How exciting! Once you book your flights, it'll be even more official! I can't wait to see your new schedule! Do you need to change any ADR's or are you going to keep everything the same?

No word from M?:confused3 If he doesn't call, I'm gonna kick his a$$!
