Just switched to the Cabins!

I'm so excited, we have just switched from POR to the Cabins for our Aug/Sept 11-day trip.

We will be arriving via Magical Express. Can someone explain to me how we get to our cabins from the check in area?

I believe they take you and your luggage by a Van to the cabin. Enjoy!!

Check in is located very near the entrance to Ft. W.
Once you check in you will be assigned a cabin with a loop number/name.

As you don't have a car, there is a bus depot located at the parking lot of FT. W. Get on the bus and when the driver announces the stop of your loop,get off. it will be a short walk from the drop off point at the loop to your actual cabin.

It's been about 3 years I guess since I stayed there last but this procedure has been the same for a while. They use to have "internal" and "external" buses I believe. Ones that only did loops/Trading Post etc. As far as a remember this is still the same.

In our experience last May, we were not required to take the bus when checking in. (That would be pretty burdensome with luggage, or even carryons.) One of the people working at the building where you check in drove us to our cabin in a van, as big kahuna indicated. It was very easy.

You will love your stay at FW! We loved it so much, we're going back for Thanksgiving and bringing more family members with us this time.

Sorry. Never used Magical Express. I thought they delivered your bags to your cabin after you arrived.

Thanks everyone. This will be our second time in the cabins this year. I was really hoping not to have to take the bus b/c we have three young boys (1,3 & 4) and our carry-ons. So that info helps out a lot.

By any chance were you on the Free Dining Plan? I am trying to switch down to POR and I have been calling with no success. If you were, I will call again today (3rd time) and try to get your old reservation....hoping for some pixie dust!!!

Yes we were FD for Aug 29-Sept 9. Hope that helps. Update me if it did although I'm not sure why you'd want to switch away from the cabins.

My company just cut our salaries and if I can save a few hundreds, I definitely want to do it. Plus, I am definitely more of a city girl and the idea of just sitting in the cabin with nothing to do is not that exciting for me.

we were there last sept and we were brought by van, make sure if you get a man HOLD ON one guy that took us drove so crazy i was sooo scared as my 3 year old was sitting on the seat and no car seat, little upset about that but all in all he did take us right to our cabin and unloaded us as our luggage arrived around the same time, after we checked in.
