Not sure exactly when we will be going, sometime in 2007. I have been putting together 'sample' package deal in the WDW website though. I have noticed that they offer a Premium and Platinum package upgrades. I like the premium upgrade but with the added cost of about $2400.00 I am wondering if it's worth it.

It includes

~Extra Magic Hours Benefit*
~Magical Express Service**
~A Magic Your Way Premium Ticket which includes:
~~Park Hopper® Option
~~Water Park Fun and More Option
~Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner per person, per night at more
~Unlimited Use of Selected Recreation
~Admission to the Cirque de Soleil® show, La Nouba
~Admission to Disney's Children's Activity Centers
~Unlimited Admissions to Theme Park Tours

Has anyone used this option? Is it worth the extra costs?

Thanks for any help or suggestions.

Lori

That seems like a lot of money. Would you use all of the upgrades? I would price out what I would actually use and see what the price difference is.

It does

I just added the numbers. If DH and DD golfed one day and the meals out (if we opt not to get a room with a kitchenette), and we rented paddle boats 3 times, we would still be money ahead if I did NOT do the premium plan. We looked at the other stuff would not use some of what was offered but we have decided that even with a kitchenette the dining package was worth the extra costs.

We figured it would be about $150.00 to $250.00 a day eating in the park for our family of 5, excluding snacks and other treats. For five days that would be $750.00 to $1250.00 for the trip depending greatly on where we ate but most of this was figuring mostly 'fast' food type dining(B,L,D). With the dining package it adds an addtional $545.00 (est) to the trip cost and takes the worries over where and what to eat every day. So it would give us a chance to try some of the sit down restraunts that we might have passed on if we were payin for food as we go.

So no on the premium plan but yes to the dining option

My DH thinks I am a goof since we are not even sure when we are going but, hey I have 5 people to plan for and I need the time to figure the best deals and honestly I LOVE putting together the different packages and seeing what saves and what doesn't.

Thanks for the input!

I personally wouldn't do it, too expensive. I would add the dining plan, though. Especially if you enjoy dining!

It looks like you already came to your conclusion, but I'll throw in my $.02 anyway. That does seem like an awful lot of money. My main concern would be having enough time to do all of that. Water Parks, Cirque de Soleil, Theme Park Tours. I hardly have enough time to cover all of the parks themselves, let alone extra activities! But I would highly recommend the dinning plan. It gives you the chance to try restaurants that you would normally not try.

Oh, and as for the advance planning, I'm guilty of that as well. My DW has to keep reminding me that our next trip is still a year and a half away, but I still go to the WDW website to do the same thing you are doing. But for me, planning is 1/2 the fun.
