Hello fellow Disney fanatics. I just reserved my hotel stay, date and time of my intimate wedding. It's going to be January 29, 2007 at 10am. We will be inviting 18 family/friends to join in our special time.

I would appreciate ANY advice anyone may have. I am so excited, yet so afraid I'm gonig to miss taking care of something that I need to.

Thanks everyone. I can't wait to start looking at everyone's pictures! :)

Congratulations and :welcome: to the wedding board. We are having an Intimate on November 1st, we booked a year out and trust me, the time has flown by! Having the planning kit through is the fun part, choosing your cake flavours and songs for the ceremony, first dance etc.
Any questions, just ask :thumbsup2

Thank you so much everyone for the encouraging words and support! :sunny:

TinkBride- :lovestruc I haven't gotten my contract and welcome letter yet :( I am anxiously waiting. My planners name is Amy, but she is switching to International planning and is reassigning me to one of her co-cast members, but she hasn't told me who yet. As soon as I find out I will let you know.

Feline Figaro- princess: Thanks for the comforting advice. We are having our ceremony at the Yacht Club Gazebo.

Cinderella2006- :cheer2: Congrats to you as well. Are you planning any extras for your package? How many people are attending?

Thanks again everyone!

Welcome and Congratulations!

I know things change, but just so you're not too worried about not receiving things too quickly, I began planning our Intimate February 2005, for the wedding October 2005, and I didn't get my contract or planning kit until August 2005. Everything went very smoothly and our wedding day was perfect :cloud9: With good communication with your EM, and everyone on this board is extremely helpful with questions and advice, it will be a magical day for you too!

There are 18 of us altogether, at first I had planned a custom wedding as their were meant to be 22 people coming but unfortunately due to illness neither my mum and step dad or my mother and father in law could make it. After a lot of debating we decided that an Intimate would work out better and with the money we saved we would have a 'formal' reception when we got back to the UK.
As for extras, we have decided against using Disney as the photography, we have assigned Randy Chapman, he is great and I am sure as you read through the posts you will hear lots about him. We have chose to use 'a magic moment' for our videography, as they were a lot cheaper than Disney. Disney wanted in excess of $1000 whilst I am getting a better package at $600 less!
We are doing the honeymoon shoot in Magic kingdom (Disney offers this as a replacement to using Disney photography on your wedding day) this is in casual attire. We have decided against the Magic Kingdom shoot where you can wear your wedding attire, as we are not early birds especially when we are on vacation!
We have added some extra floral but apart from that it is pretty basic, no Cinderella’s coach or Disney characters for us!

We are having our wedding dinner at 1900 Park Fare which i am hoping will be really fun.

You have any ideas on what you want yet?

We are doing things pretty basic as well. I actually received my contract via e-mail today. I do have several questions to ask our EM before I sign the contract. The contract stated we are only having 10 guests when I told her we planned on 18. And the basic package price on my contract says $2650, but when I originally called they said $2450. Just little things I wanted to ask her before we sign it, just so we know.

We are planning on having a dinner at Ohana's that evening of the wedding and I need to find someone/somewhere on property to get my hair done the morning of.

You could have someone come to your room like Lisa from magical weddings or there is a salon in the Grand Floridian. Looking at about $65 for hair

I HIGHLY reccommend Lisa from Magical Weddings. She did my hair, and Rex did my makeup. I absolutely loved my hair and it held out all day long. She did a wonderful job!!!!
