Just spent big $ and happy about it!

The pins that I buy at the outlet are solely for trading- I try and buy the ones on sale for about $4-5. My DD still picks out special cruise pins- Which you can only buy on the ship. There is pin trading everynight and any CM who wears a laynard will trade- as well as others who like to trade. I just do the outlet so we don't major $$ invested- they are like $8.50 -12.50 on the ship.

If you change your mind- just let me know though. I went on ebay and purchased my daughter a formal dress for $39.99 + shipping. It is so pretty and I would pay that much or more at Dillards for a nice dress. If figure that I can resell it on ebay or take it to a consignment and get most of my $$ back. The retail is $140!!

Thanks for all the information. I'm still stunned that we've all actually paid and we are going to make this thing I've been planning for over a year actually happen.

I had only done the down payment and just charged the rest. I'm not really all paid -just dreading the next bill. I'll just pay it off and enjoy the trip with my family. Glad I could help. Are you doing tea, brunch, and Palo dinner? They all sound wonderful.
Also, do you plan on eating early or late. My family is used to eating very early.Decisions, decisions

Callahanjulie I stopped buying pins to trade because we can't bear to part with any of them. We've become pin hoarders not traders! :p I'm the worst. We wear them "Only for display". Too many memories.

I can understand fully well about hoarding!!! We have 4 laynards full and some still on the cards!! The last 2 cruises I have been on High Tea has been fully booked. I usually go there first and still have only lucked out 1 time:( I love brunch- and hopefully we will get to do that at least once on this trip.

Counting down- only 62 more days:Pinkbounc

thedisneymom - you will have to put the pad on your shopping list! Kinda like the chicken and egg thing I guess. :p I have a Disney savings account, so everytime I get any extra $ I put some in. I put the final payment on my Disney Visa and will earn 1% back. Then I'll pay it off when the bill comes. Might help feed us at WDW!

We've just gotten into the pin thing. I got us 3 lanyards, but I got the one with the Maleficent medallion on the end. Where can you just by the medallions to hook on the clip at the end?

Stewblue - every time I look at my countdown clock I go :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Where is that drummincoop? Could it be they want to be alone for their honeymoom? They are probably following all this chatter and have decided its best to stay away! LOL

Callahanjulie- Let me see- maybe when we get on the ship if you don't get a ressie I can add you in or leave my husband or son behind. They probably would be glad. I think I made it for Sun. 3:30. Remind me when we get on the ship. Another idea could work if the 4 ladies want to do tea? Samsma? Stewblue? How about it?

That is so nice of you- I would love it!!!! I went to the tea alone and ended up meeting another lady who was by herself and had a great time. It was my very favorite thing I did on the ship that trip. Thanks for the offer!!!

It's a date! LOL Lets hope the others will come. It will probably be the only other time besides the sailaway party that we're not passing in the wind!

Excellent idea! Can I raise my little pinky in the air, and eat cucumber sandwiches while wearing white gloves and a big straw hat? Or should I cruise at Halloween for that?

I'll call tomorrow and add you to my high tea ressie(I think i'm allowed at least 4 because there are 4 in my party. I'll find out. Hope to hear from Stewblue. This would be fun. P.S. You can skip the gloves ;) sunday -3:30 This is so exciting-we'll have to take a picture

How old is your daughter again? Mine just turned 14 in Dec,She is very very shy and quiet. Quite frankly, an innocent young 14. She has friends ranging from 11-14. If you do have a daughter in that age group maybe they will hit it off. She asked me to ask you to pick up 4-$5 pins. I'll give you it when we meet. She would like to try trading after reading your note to me. Many thanks!!

High tea sounds super. I definitely plan on going at least once. My neice is 11 going on 22 so perhaps she would be interested in meeting a 14 year old. Because we are also doing a family reunion I'm never too sure if there is something we are trying to do as a family or if I'm on my own so I may not reply quickly. Doesn't mean I'm not interested, just means I'm trying to understand the plans of x number of other people who are trying to understand the plans of their respective families! Of course the men are no help at all. Could be they are still trying to absorb the concept of formal night? <grin>

I'll try to make it for 4 and see what happens. If you are unable to make it Ill change the ressie so someone else can enjoy the tea.
I'm sure my daughter will enjoy meeting you niece. Sound like this is getting better each day.

One problem - if both of us are at Palo at the same time, does this mean we'll have to scale back on dessert? Think they'll have enough?

Here's the trick -do lunch eat 4 desserts, then high tea, then dinner with 4 more! No Problem. :p

I saw a thread the other day on how to fit in Palo. (she meant time for Palo) I think the reply will apply to me by day 7. "They make the doorways to accommodate all size people." Loose quote from Buckaroo's Dad!

Thank you thank you thank you- you have made my day!!:bounce: :Pinkbounc It is so nice to be on the front of the ship during the day- enjoying the scenery- while having tea and those little sandwiches/jams, etc. What a life...

Palo- which I have to say is beautiful anyway- but the front and sides are glass and in the daytime you have a wonderful view. In the evening at Palo, the feel is totally different. High Tea is a MUST. Thank you for being for generous- esp. with me- (a gal from steerage with conceriege taste!!!)
I look so forward to meeting you ladies:Pinkbounc
