Thanks for all the vacation reports. Somehow reading them makes the snow easier to bear.

I have been shovelling here too, for that matter, slipping and sliding too ;) Wishing I was writing a trip report too.

I spent yesterday morning shoveling. It's 19 degrees here in central Ohio. I CAN'T WAIT until next Friday morning!!!

During the blazing summers down here, I miss New York.

We are in a cold snap now, probably won't see eighty degrees today. Don't miss New York at all today.

At least I am prepared. I have two snow shovels, a number of window scrapers and a closet full of winter clothes....but I will be the envy of my neighborhood if we do get a blzzard. I will probably be able to rent my snow shovels for twenty bucks an hour.

Two years ago, we had a hard frost, one that you had to scrape your windows, four years ago, we had a light frost, one squirt of window washer and two swipes of the wipers and it was gone.

We don't go until May, so sad. Next year I'll make sure we go in December or January!

Whaaa! I want to come home! We are on our 2nd "significant" winter storm with a few minor ones thrown in for good measure. Shoveled last night and this morning and there is still snow on the driveway/front walk.

I know there isn’t any snow (except the fake stuff) at our other home, and I want to be there NOW!!

Thanks for listening to my vent.

Sheryl

We're wimps in Kentucky - got a few inches of snow and school's been closed for three days. If I had known Tuesday night that we would have a five day weekend - we would have been Home enjoying the Christmas decorations!

....we leave tonite for VWL. Guess who aint shovelling, it will all begone by the time we get back, HOPEFULLY.

Have a great time and PLEASE post a trip report when you come back KNWVIKING! The only thing that got me through my shoveling this morning was thoughts of WLV. January can't come soon enough for me!!!!

LOL, I grew up in Kentucky and fondly remember those snow days.

Live in Minnesota now. Snow days are much more uncommon (though they do happen). You generally have to have a more than a foot of snow fall in a short time.

And the only time here you can avoid the shovel and be sure it will be gone when you get back is before September or after April.

We also hate snow here in Ohio. Can't wait until we retire and move to a warmer climate.

I can't wait to retire to a warmer climate too! I wish I could do so now! I hate the snow!!! I hate the cold!!! Annmarie

Gassed up at the S.Carolina/N.Carolina border 3:00am, 21F. My Jersey snow was finally gone just inside FL. Only snow I plan on seeing this week is at MVMCP.

I hope you have a good trip KNWVIKING, I'm jealous! I heard it's even kind of cool there, too.

My weather story: We were in the significant ice storm in NC. I live 3 blocks from the center of town and was without power from Thursday at 12:35 am until Sunday at noon. I had to throw out most of my freezer contents ( I was able to save some meat by storing it in my office freezer). I missed cable tv and the internet--I haven't been on the DIS for over 85 hours--I'm in withdrawal. Time to go out and haul the downed branches to the street, but at least I can relax online in between hauling trips!! It also helps to know that I'll be at WDW in 100 hours!!!!

We are also in NC were powerless from WEd at midnight until SAt at 6!

Seemed like forever!

Linda
