DVC newbie, We just sent our check and closing documents.(vwl). What should we be looking for next. When to we get our DVC member number:etc:

A couple of weeks if the seller also sends in their paperwork timely.

Eleven months is easy - just subtract one month from the current month.

Once you get your DVC member log in at the website, it will tell you when you log in what your dates are.

Once you get member web site access..it tells you the date each day you can book for 11/7.

Alternatively you can go to timeanddate.com and use their date calculator.

You can always book your trips exactly 11 months from check in date at home resort and 7 months at others. UY doesn't change that.

When making reservations, your UY of travel is important in terms of knowing what points you can use for the trip but it doesn't affect when to call.

I have a June UY. If I decide I want to travel in Oct 2012, I can call in Nov 2011 to book my trip. Since that trip would take place in my 2012 UY, I can use banked 2011 UY points, 2012 points, and borrowed 2013 UY points if I need to.
