I didn't want to put the real name of the store as I'm sure it's probably not allowed on the boards  They had a 40% coupon for any ONE item. Well, with the new Little League rules for bats we needed to buy BOTH of our boys new bats for next spring. They're nearly 7 and 9. The 9 year old is getting into a little bit of more competition so these bats don't run cheap!

They had a $150 bat on sale for $99 and I got 40% off of that! The 7 year old got an $80 bat for $48. I'm so stoked. My husband and I were online at the same time so he got one and I got the other. I also got the little one a ball bag for $20 (my husband is his coach and just throws all his equipment in the big team bag - now he has his own). I went back in to get hockey pants for the little guy but it looks as though the offer is no longer any good. They had a 50,000 order max so it took just under 30 minutes to fulfill that.

Anyone else take advantage of the offer? I was tempted to buy hockey skates for my younger son since they're SO expensive but we JUST bought him new ones and he'll fit into his big brother's next that are still in good condition. My goodness, sports are not cheap! :crazy2:

In the future, if you have a local batting cage or indoor baseball training facility they are a great place to score high-end equipment especially if you have any tournaments that come through that area. Teams will typically take the whole team to do a round of batting and you always see equipment get left behind. I have picked up 300 plus dollar bats for around 75.

Good to know! I don't imagine they'll have many of the new bats yet as they're not even allowed to be used for Fall Ball (can't be used until 1/1/18) so not sure if there would be any. We are typically just fine with shopping at Play It Again Sports for a lot of the equipment they need but like I said they wouldn't carry them yet so had to splurge a little bit.

I tried to get a north face rain jacket for my son for Alaska but the site was a disaster and by the time I got in I think they must have hit 50k transactions. I was not impressed. These sales are tricky when you end up making regular customers irritated.

Agreed that the website was NOT able to withstand the volume of people trying to use this deal. I was logged in through Ebates on the page that had my son's bat with the size of bat picked out by 9:30 and added it to my cart at 10:00. It took about 10 minutes until it'd let me open up my cart (after error after error). Same with my husband. My second order was much easier with a minor hiccup. When I tried a 3rd order at about 10:30 the deal was done because the 40% off was not coming off. Sorry it didn't work for you, @havaneselover ! :guilty:

I'm glad it worked for you! Bats are crazy expensive (my brother is a college baseball coach and gives batting lessons and I can't believe how expensive baseball is to play these days!)

I had the coat I wanted in my cart and went to the site right at 1PM. I couldn't get through until the deal was over. I'm sure I'll find another one on sale--I have until August:)

Thank you! Oh, I have no doubt you'll find a great deal before then.

Baseball is expensive but hockey is even worse :scared: The amount of protection they need plus the SKATES  We're grateful that the Anaheim Ducks sponsor the kids their first season playing (to get them introduced and interested in the sport in Southern California) but after that we're on our own. Looking at $300-$600+ each year in equipment depending on if it's all outgrown or not.

NOT looking forward to when they're older and start requesting the top of the line stuff! (Oh and they play basketball too - not long until DS9 is wearing men's shoes!)

i was going to jump on this deal till i noticed it excluded world series merch...ugh.
