Just scheduled FIRST trip!

I've been a lurker on these boards for about 3 years and after a canceled trip two years ago we've been waiting for the time to be right (financially) and this year is it. Myself, my wife and two boys (15,5) are SO excited. We're going down in June and I just don't know how we're going to make it through the next four months. We got our new planning DVD over the weekend and we've already watched it probably 10 times, I think I'm actually more excited than the kids, how bad is that?!

Anyway, just wanted to finally become an "official" member now that my family is heading to Disney for our first trip!

Hi there and yay for you and your family on your vaca plans!!! I hope you guys have alot of fun! I know what you mean by excited!! I am planning our first ever family vaca to WDW for Oct/Nov of this yr and have been very impatient waiting for the magic hrs/flights/promos to come out so I can even book the trip!!!

My boys will be 12 and almost 6 by trip time and I can't wait to surprise them with tickets! They know I'm trying to plan something but they don't know that we are def going! Neither they or my husband has ever been to WDW and never been on a plane either so...I'm sure your boys will be beyond thrilled!

Try to focus on other things to keep your mind off the wait time! I know, easier said than done! Enjoy your trip!

Yay! We're going for the first time later this year, too, and I know what you mean! I'm loving the planning part so much. Someone told me that the planning part is almost as great as the actual vacation, and I now see what they mean. WDW is fast becoming my new hobby!

Thanks to everyone for their wishes. Joy, I can't even explain how excited I am. My wife thinks I'm crazy already and I've got 4 more months!

Oh, and yes tears are normal when you get in the car/plane and have to leave the happiest place on earth to go back to the real world. My DH thought I was NUTS when I cried for the first 400 miles back to TX! However, he did let me book again for this year, making ALL better.
