I had booked in July a silver plan dream maker package at the GF for December; I called today and explained I had heard about the winterdream maker discounted packages. The rep said as long as there were availabilities she could convert me. It took her about 3 seconds and she confirmed there was availablity and she converted me for a savings of $584 !!! I am so happy !! Now I can think about what to do with the extra dough, spend it and splurge ?? or save it for another trip ?? :) :) :)

Congrats on your savings. I was wondering what dates this package is good for and what it includes.

Thanks, Wendi

We also converted our dream magic silver plan to the new winter dreammagic silver plan and saved over $450.00 on our Beach Club vacation in December. We also used our Disney Club card.

A silver package brochure can be found on the official disney website, it is a PDF download. I found out about the winterdreamaker package by reading these boards. If you type in silver or dreamaker in the search engine on this site., you should be able to find all you need to know and then some. Also look at mousesavers website. I am no expert but it appears that if your going to the parks only then a package may not be the best deal. If you plan on using the offerings of the package such as the behind the scenes tours, spa, golf, boating etc. than the package appears to be a better deal. There is also good discussion on these boards comparing & contrasting packages verses an AP or going a la carte. Know what you want to see & than run the numbers. I have found the codes and special offerings very confusing. I wish Disney would adapt a Saturn Car Company philosopsy. The sticker price is it.

We saved ~$500 for our trip to AKL in December with the silver plan!!!!

Just got back from dropping our oldest DD off for her first year of college. When I checked my e-mail, there was something from my agent at DU letting me know that she had just gotten a discount on my January trip and saved me $760. I'm still smiling.

Just for the heck of it yesterday I checked my AAA brochure which has the pricing for 2003 for the Dream Maker Package.

The room I just booked at the Poly with a lagoonview would have cost me $900 more if I went thru them. They have the same prices as DC. So for someone who wants a package this is a big savings.

I didn't "need" the package but the pricing was better to get the package and change from Contemporary to the Poly. So now for a difference of $371 I went from standard garden view at the Contemporary to lagoonview at the Poly!

But, if ap's come out I'm probably gonna switch if I can save alittle.
