We just got off the ride, it was way better than I could have imagined!! We were a little skeptical because we are huge fans of BLAB, but TSM surpassed that!!! Our time slot was 4-9 and we got here at 6:30. Check-in was super easy, but there was a 20 minute wait at the ride queue (which I didn't even notice because I was so excited to be there). We were only allowed one ride and they are being strict with all people in your party being AP holders, from what I saw. Gotta go, our FP's for Screamin' are up!! :cutie:

I cant wait for my turn!!!! Thats not until October!!!

Thank you for your report!

I spoke to a coworker today & his wife works at the Grand Californian & his dd for DVC, and they rode it over the weekend. He said that it is a lot of fun, and gave it a positive review.

You're given a cannon type popper, and you pull on the ball in the back then get to do things like shoot paint balls, try to break dishes, etc. (Note, this is someone who doesn't give tooo many details, lol). He said that at the end of the ride keep pumping that cannon to get an added effect.:thumbsup2

It is so fun, I am glad you got to ride it! We rode it at Hollywood Studios recently and just loved it. I can't wait to ride the Disneyland version in October. We also thought its better than Buzz. To me its a good combo of Buzz and the POTC virtual thing at Disney Quest in WDW.

We got home about an hour ago and are totally pooped! But I wanted to get a few of my pictures up to share ~ I took pictures of absolutely everything in the queue!! :hyper:

Mary Jo's description of the ride was spot on. The one and *only* bummer was that Mr. Potato Head was covered up, but I'm assuming he'll stay that way until the press arrives this weekend. The only things I can really say are that the ride was the most fun I've ever had on any ride and the queue was adorable. I loved the theming. So with no further ado, here are some of the pics:

Did you happen to look at the potato head pieces? I am curious if they had any new pieces associated with the ride?

No, we didn't ~ they were getting ready for the ELP as we were headed out and it was getting crazy, so we didn't have a chance to stop by the toy shop. We're going to the parks this Sunday so I'll take a look then and post back. :)

It looks like soo much fun! I can't wait to ride it! Thanks!

How FUN! I'm soo excited to ride it! :hyper:
Thanks for the report. :thumbsup2

Is this going to have fastpass? That que is really cute, its looks nicer than the one at DHS (but that one they just put in the old Millionaire building).

Our last day (6/6) they had taken down the walls and were doing cast member previews. Mr. Potato Head was working at that time because we stood and watched him for a couple of minutes. My nephew thought it was hilarious when he pulled his ear off! :rotfl2:

From pictures, I like the queue at DHS better.

But I heard this ride is super cool! I can’t wait to ride it!

Thanks for the pics and the report!

Sounds like a blast! :woohoo: We can't wait to try it out.

Thanks for the report and the pics, these may help me to talk hubby into going to DL in a couple of weeks ;)

I had read that there were no FP machines being installed so I looked around when we were there to confirm. Sure enough, I didn't spot any around the ride. Looks like it's going to be LOOOOONG lines for the first few months. :( I've noticed that the FP return times at BLAB are relatively close to the current time (like if we're there at noon, the machines are giving out FP's for 12:45 - 1:45). I think a lot of people would prefer to get FP's for the E-ticket rides, so they're probably assuming the same would eventually happen with TSM.

To be honest, though ~ even though we're AP holders, the ride was so much fun that I'd be willing to wait in line to ride again!

Thanks for the review and pix. :goodvibes DD8 and I are going tomorrow-we won too! :cloud9: I'm letting DD8 skip school to go-works out great as our AP exp. the next day.

As far as having special parts for Mr PH, DD and I stopped by that store a few weeks ago (a few days after it opened) I didn't see anything that was unique to Toy Story. But we did buy a Mr. PH Chef that she wanted. We'll just add it to our growing collection. They had Star Wars ones as well.

Very cool, thanks for the pics! We were bummed that we couldn't ride it last week. We always looked when we walked by, to see if just maybe they'd do a soft opening. Oh well, there is always next year. LOL Still not sure if I'll think it's better then Buzz, from the youtube video it looks like they could have done a lot more with it.

I rode it yesterday also, and I agree, it way surpassed my expectations!!!!!!!!!! It's a new favorite!

Mr Potato Head wasn't covered up when I was there in the morning- he was out talking and pulling his ear out for us!
