Spent week after easter at BWV's.
Had a wonderful time as always.
Stayed in two bed standard view.
The room had a view of the parking lot but was close to water so noise from bell stand was not an issue.
Had easy access to poll vis stairs.
Were not woken by beeping trucks or construction workers
The performers on BW seemed to be better than in the past.
The bartender at Radio bar (forget real name )was firendly.
ESPN was good for a cold beer.
Community hall was great DD8 made lots of crafts for her teachers etc.
Went Spoodles service was not good and the food was worse.(we had said two years ago the we would never eat there again but were hungry.)

There were some minor issues with the room.
The curtian rod in living rooms was broken.
One of the chairs was missing a knob.
We also found a childs toy in a drawer.
The light in bedroom went on and off by it self checked bulb and plug both were fine.Which concerned me a sbeing a fire hazard.
The cushion on the studios couch was ripped.

Notified desk the rod was fixed
the light stopped blinking
The cushion was never fixed or replaced.
These in no way affedcted our vacation but do indicate that quality may be slipping.

I did have issues with other guests .
Our neghbor was too lazy to take his 0r her garbage to trash room and simpily put bags of garbage outside of his door.
I seem to recall that there was a card in room that expained trash and towel service we did did not have one this year.
So i guess it is possible that they were unaware of the proper way to dispose of garbage.

At the pool I saw a lifguard jump into pool and grab a kid.
The mother put down her frozen drink and then proceeded to tell the life guard that her child was fine and the lifeguard scared her child by jumping in the pool!!
The kid was about 3 and should not have been in the pool with out supervsion!!
EVEN WITH THOSE SWIMMIES on his arm.
In the time we were there I personaly saw lifguards jump in three times to grab children who were struggling.

Can't wait to go back next year

Glad you had a great trip.

I think they need to put some thing in the "welcome home" package you get when you arrive, I've seen this many times and I think people assume the mousekeepers will pick it up. Very annoying.

I have stop counting the number of seriously judgement impaired things I see at the world concerning kids. In real life I bet that these are probably very diligent parents. What is it about Disney that makes us check at brains at the door? :sad2: Glad you didn't end up witnessing a tragic accident.

Well looks like you covered it all. I'm envious of your trip, 45 more days to go for me and mine. I've been to Disney 50+ times since it opened and I always book standard view. If I want to see the Boardwalk I walk out to it, I rather like saving the extra points. Myself, I prefer OKW but the kids won out this year and it the Clown Pool!

When you say "quality slipping" are you referring to the maintenance/refurbishment schedule? I find that until they are ready to redo the room in full, the broken knobs, ripped couches etc. do not get replaced or exchanged. The only thing they actually repair or replace right away are things like fridges, stoves etc., the furniture and decor have to wait for the full refurbishment.

but like you say "These in no way affected our vacation but do indicate that quality may be slipping." in the end, it's vacation with your family at Disney, and as long as the villas are clean I can tolerate a little wear and tear!

Just like you, Spoodles doesn't do it for me, I'm looking forward to Spoodle's replacement, Kat Cora's mediterranean type restaurant!

Thanks for the trip report!

Thanks for your insights. How were the crowds? I'll be taking a group of 8+ women the week after Easter next year. We've never been at Disney anywhere around Easter.

Glad you had a great trip & reported issues in your villa too :thumbsup2

I too find it quite irritating when folks just put their trash outside door :sad2:

And that parent should have been grateful for lifeguard that's keeping a good eye on the kids.

Thanks for the TR. It sounds like you had a great trip!:thumbsup2
