We decided to brave the bad air and keep our plans. The air was pretty bad in the mornings but seemed to clear as the day went on. Our last day (Sunday) seemed much cleaner. We stayed at the Carousel. Not clean enough for me as there were long hairs on the bathroom floor and trash shoved under the bedside table that my kids found! :lmao: But other than that, it was ok enough. The crowds were massive and heavy! Fantasmic was the worst for crowds! We waited over an hour to see it, and an hour to be able to fight through the crowds to get out. The park opened up a back alley behind the main street shops and escorted the exiting people out. It was the biggest mob I've ever seen. The show was very good. We had our only bad experience with rude people at Fantasmic also. Everyone had been waiting an hour plus, we were all getting along just fine, relaxing and waiting for the show to begin when a group of 4 women and about 7 kids arrived and stood on the worng side of the rope. The CM asked them to leave several times but they motioned that they did not speak english. After the CM gave up and left, one of the little girls, about 5 years old said "Mommy, why cant we get on the other side of the rope?" The mothers then told the kids to disperse themselves where they could find any tiny spot. They crawled over top of everyone, including me and my son sleeping in a stroller. Downright rude. But other than that... everyone else was wonderful! (And all throwing hard looks to this group.) We did Pirates way too many times... 10 times. :rolleyes1 Kids LOVED it!
Nemo lines were too long, 95 minutes was the shortest so we never went. We'll catch it next time. The Blue Bayou, which I thought I'd never be able to find a meal at, was WONDERFUL! Yummy!!!
The weather was hot the first day (Wednesday) but gradually cooled and even rained slightly once. It was nice. We went to the Aquarium of the Pacifics our last day and I can't say enough good about that place! I have posted too much for this board so I'll leave it at that... along with a thank you to all who always give me direction and advice here on the DIS.
PS: I must add... my kids got to captain the Mark Twain and my daughter got to talk to Crush!

Glad to hear that you decided to go and that it all worked out! Sounds like the Carousel may be having some issues - two "eh" reviews in two days. Did the Dream Team award your kids the opportunity to captain the Mark Twain?

Lol!!! I have to laugh, we were there Oct. 21-26 and we went on Pirates more than 20 times - newly turned 3 year old is nuts over it this trip! We were lucky to catch Nemo (thank the person who allows us to let the kids rest in strollers!) We were in line for about 45 minutes. A CM gave us a tip on that - never do it at EE if you're not first in line because it backs up quickly, wait a few hours for the EE people to be done with it and then the wait it much less. So we did it just before nap time - nice and relaxing!
