Hi all,
Just returned from two wonderful weeks and wanted to pass on some tips to all you planners.
1. If you pre-purchase your Disney tickets write down (and keep separate) the numbers printed on the reverse. If you lose your tickets (which I did) Disney should be able to cancel them and re-issue. It does state on the tickets that Disney holds no responsibility for lost tickets - but if you can provide all the information they should be able to help. As it was, when I lost ours, guest relations at Animal Kingdom gave us fast pass tickets for the main attractions so we could continue to enjoy the day. DH and FIL returned to the villa and new tickets were issued in under two hours from the heart-renchingly sickening moment of discovery.
2. A brilliant restaurant for vegetarians is sweet tomatoes (towards the end of international drive - past wet'n'wild). It is an all you can eat buffet, which starts with a salad bar, followed by pasta, pizza, soup, bread, jacket potato and rounded off with warm muffins, hot dessert and ice-cream.
3. DIY check in and downtown Disney check in worked brilliantly and took away some of the hassle (I know this is not always the case - but for us it was good).
Hopefully I will be able to knock up some trip reports and pass on my limited knowledge just as others have done to help me.
Kind regards,
Maria
