Hello everyone...

Just thought I'd pass on a bit about our trip. We took our 8 month old daughter and had a blast. Here's what we did.

We got a fridge in our room to keep her formula and juice cold.... very nice to have.

We brought our own stroller.... big plus!! Although make sure it folds easy. We also brought an infant carrier for her... hmm.. I think was called Snugli. It was nice to have on the rides. The ones she is allowed on aren't very fast or anything, but some are in the dark and the cars do jerk a bit. The boat rides bump a bit too. It was nice to have her strapped onto us. We also used it toward the night when it got cooler just to walk around. When we weren't using it, we just left if in the stroller basket. We folded the stroller with it in there. No one took it either when we went to eat and stuff. It was very easy to keep around. Also, since you can't have the stroller open on the bus. She would sleep in the carrier too. Then I could go right on the bus without waking her.

We had the best diaper bag.. from Babies R Us. It was half diaper bag and half cooler bag but still small. We kept the bottles cool in there. When the ice pack melted, we kept a ziploc and asked some of the vendors for fresh ice. They were happy to do so. We never heated her bottles. It was too hot. She enjoyed the chill on them.

The baby care centers were great too. We were able to pick up more formula toward the end of the trip when we were running out.

All in all.. it was a great trip.

Feel free to ask me any questions and I hope everyone has fun on thier trip!!

Wonderful! I'm glad you had a great time out with the little one.

amirah95, thanks for the great info!! ARe you able to remember many of the rides you were able to take the baby on? Or is there a list somewhere of all of the rides with no height restrictions on them?

thanks! Glad it was a great trip!

msmom595 - I think there is a list on allearsnet.com. Basically babies can go on any ride in MK except the mountains (space, thunder, etc.) But you should check out that website - I think they have a list there.

I'm glad you had a good experience.

2 years ago we took our dd (2 1/2) and ds (8 mths) and ds was a joy. He LOVED all of the characters with no fear, whereas dd was sceptical at first. Ds grabbed them all by the face & bit their noses. If I knew how to post a picture, I could share some funny ones.

I think at that young age, they have a great time, regardless of what they will remember later. And when they are tired, they just go to sleep. It's as easy as that.

Dd's first time was when she was 13 months old & she still to this day remembers certain attractions or characters (and she's 5 now). I think we kept the trip alive by showing her the pictures & watching the videos we took while we were there.

We've created a Disney NUT!!

Which rides did you go on and which did you avoid?
How did you handle taking photos with the characters since I know they aren't allowed to hold the babies.
Thanks!
Diana

I'm not sure if you are asking the op, but I'll give my 2 cents!

My ds was a very strong 8 month old & had no problem riding on the rides on our laps (like Peter Pan or Pooh, slow moving cart-type rides I mean). He looked around at everything. And he didn't know to be afraid at the dark rides like Snow White, where as my dd was petrified!

As far as the characters, most of the time either I or dh had to hold the baby, but some of them were able to do different things. Like in Mickey's Toon Town, Cinderella must've had some type of stool that she sat on, because she didn't move, just hunched down so that dd & ds could sit on her lap for the picture.

Also, Chip (of Chip & Dale) sat on the floor & let ds sit with him.

I guess it depends on the character & location, whether or not they can hold the young ones.
