Great reviews---we fell in love with Kona's food on our last trip - a must for next time!

The appetizers were all right, but the meat was completely dried out, and, as one of our group noted, tasted like old socks. The shrimp is unpeeled, and again very dry and not worth the effort to strip off the shells. This is our 2nd time at this place--we went a few years ago, with the same results, but decided to give it another chance. I realize that it is sacriledge to dispair OHana's, so line up the firing squad, but never again.

LOL! Thanks for sharing your reviews. I was disappointed in Ohana too. We Waited at least an hour past our PS time. The service was fine, but I too thought the meat was dry and all tasted the same and I prefer to eat deveined shrimp.

I have learned with Ohana--go early--we get a 5/5:30 PS and we are fine--have been sat within 5/10 minutes.

Yep, go early and avoid the weekends. We have been to 'Ohana's 8 or 9 times with one bad experience. We have gone to Kona's 4 times with 2 bad experiences. Personally I don't think I would ever wait more than 30 minutes past a resv or PS time. If they can't get you seated any closer than that, to me, that is a sign the restaurant is having one of those run away train nights and you're better off finding something else (even if it's room service).

I am so sorry you had such an unpleasant time at Ohana's. It is my favorite and lucky me I have never had a bad meal yet. I think we will be trying Kona's next time we are down there. The reviews are great.
