We just returned from a fabulous adult only 2 night/3 day vacation at POFQ. I cannot say anything negative about this resort at all. In fact, I believe that POFQ is our home away from home. We will be bouncing back there in October and I’m counting the days!:cool1:

Check in was a breeze, it was like nobody else was there vacationing at all. I didn’t request any room location and was pleasantly surprised with what I was given. Our room was located in Building 7, Room 7217. It was a corner room and really very private. Nobody ever walked by at all. We ate two mornings at Sassagoula Floatworks and the food was actually pretty good. DH loved his King Creole platter and I stuck with the pancakes with bacon. There were other additional offerings, but I tend to stick with what I know. Staff and mousekeeping were great! Our room was always made up and smelled wonderful daily. We really like the smallness of this resort, the themeing is also really nice. One night we sat at Scat Cats and listened to a performer. I wasn’t able to get his name as we had walked in on him when he had already started, but he was really good and entertaining. :thumbsup2

We had no problems with the busses at all. We never shared a bus with POR. Our last morning the MK bus got full and we had to wait for another bus, but it only took 10 minutes after the first bus departed, nothing at all like POR last year. But crowds were lower than when we last went in October, so maybe that had something to do with it.

All in all, we had a great time and looking forward to going “home” again in October.:hyper:

Any questions, ask away!

Awesome, I'm glad you had a wonderful vacation!

We are off to the BC on Thursday and was wondering how was the weather and the crowds??

Really glad you had a fab time. We go in Sept for 14 nights and really excited especially as we stayed offsite last year, wonderful to hear good reviews about FQ .:thumbsup2

The weather actually was good. Sun and blue skies those 3 days. Hot though . . . low 90's. Morning and evening temps were really comfortable. You were sweating by mid-late morning . . .Lots of shady spots and places to cool off though.

Crowds were medium I would say. We did utilize a couple fast passes. We did all the rides we wanted to and the most waiting we did was about 20 minutes. The first day we spent the entire time at Epcot. We got a fast pass for Soarin and for Test Track. We rode Mission Space (green version) Universe of Energy, Spaceship Earth, Imagination and ate lunch and were able to do the two fast passes. In the late afternoon and evening we spent in the countries.

Animal Kingdom on Thursday morning we were able to get right on to Expedition Everest. We grabbed the fast passes for Kilamanjaro Safari as that wait time was about 60 minutes. We walked right onto Its a Bugs Life and Dinosaur.

Magic Kingdom Thursday night was pretty busy. Wait times for Splash and Space Mountain were about 60 minutes so we did the fast passes for them. We waited 20 minutes for BTMRR. Walked on to Haunted Mansion and Pirates.

Basically, it was hit or miss. Friday morning though was awesome at MK. Walked right onto Peter Pan and Mickey's Philarmagic and Buzz too! The crowds started picking up though on Friday probably because of the weekend. By mid afternoon MK was pretty packed, but not like Summer crowds.

You'll have a great time at BC! We have stayed there before and it is really wonderful and has great access to Epcot.

Have fun!:wizard:

Glad you enjoyed POFQ! I have a brother staying there right now and has phoned home with very positive impressions of it as well!

Hi Wish Upon A Star.....how close was your room to the main building (i.e. breakfast :) and the bus stops? Just DD and I are going in October for a little girls weekend so the closer to these things we are the better. Thanks.

I just got off the phone with Disney. I booked 5 nights at the FQ so I was glad to see that you had a good review of it. We were there in 2005 and really liked it. When I asked my DD where she wanted to stay this trip she immediately said FQ. We stayed offsite last time and we missed the atmosphere of a Disney resort. FQ is so small and quiet we loved it. I am glad you enjoyed it too.

Our building was the farthest away from the main area, BUT, it was literally a three to four minute walk to it. You'll have no problem getting around anywhere at POFQ. The resort is pretty small and walking to the main building and bus stop was a breeze, even after walking all day at the parks.

Have fun!
