We were there Jan 17-22! We stayed at Wilderness Lodge, had a courtyard room, but when we checked in I asked how much it would be for a Conciege room and was told $30 extra a night plus tax! I WAS THRILLED!! I don't know if I was so happy because I got the upgrade or because I could tell my skeptical husband ( who thinks that I am a crazy Disney nut who spends WAY too much on this board reading posts) that I got the upgrade!!:smooth: :p HA! He ended up liking the conciege floor more than I did! The weather was very cool the first couple of days, but eventually reached the 70's. MK was busy on Saturday, but Tuesday was a lot better, Space Mountain wait time= 10 minutes, Splash Mountain= 15. If anyone has any questions, ask! I'm already thinking about the next trip!:p :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

I'd like to hear your opinion on your room and the concierge services. :)

Wow-Concierge for $30 extra a night??? Sign me up-lol!

I was wondering what the temps were like at night and whether or not you needed to dress warmly? Also how was the transportation--if you used WDW trans.?

We are pretty much planning on booking WL Conc for next Jan & I was wondering--what was your impression of concierge? Were you treated well or any problems? How was the view from your room? Any other info about concierge would be great, if we book this it will be our first time using concerierge services.

TIA!

Looking for more info too...in-laws want to stay at WL with us next.

Sorry that I took so long to reply, but my mouse died and I had to replace it!
First, the weather.... It was pretty chilly when it was in the 50's. On those days we wore jackets, hats and gloves. But the wind was also blowing, so it felt colder than 50's. It did get chilly at night too. On the days that were in the 70's we wore jeans, sweatshirts and t shirts underneath, so that in the afternoon we could take the sweatshirts off, and we were pretty comfortable. Believe it or not we were able to swim for awhile on one of the days in the 70's!
The WDW Transportation from WL...... We used the boat to the Magic Kingdom and found that to be the fastest to the Kingdom. I was a little irked that the bus would drop you off at the Transportation and Ticket center and then you would have to transfer from there to the MK, so we took the boat after one bus trip and it was soooo much faster. The buses are also sharing pickup and drop off with other resorts, which I was also a little upset about, because I feel that I am paying premium prices for a deluxe resort, therefore, I feel that WL should have their own bus! We had to pickup at Grand Floridian before we went to the Animal Kingdom, and had to share with Fort Wilderness for the other parks. But overall, the buses were O.K. they seemed to run about every 15 minutes. I don't know what was the deal with all of the buses that passed our bus stop that had SPECIAL on them, I don't know who gets to ride those, but they were mostly empty!
The room..... we had 7107 and my parents had 7109, both concierge, but not connecting rooms. We were very close to the conceige desk and buffets that they set out, which was very conveinient. It seemed that some of the rooms could be very far away from the buffet. I felt that the room was as big as the rooms at Dixie Landings and Carribean Beach. We had two queen beds, the bunk bed rooms may feel a little bigger. Pretty standard, we had a robe in the room and they had turndown service every night. Unfortunately, no towel animals or any extra surprises despite the fact that it was my husbands birthday and conceige services knew that.
The Service.... We didn't bug conceige services very much except for a few priority seatings. I didn't ask for any of the really hard to get in restaurants.... I should have challenged them to see if they could get CRT seatings!:p Castmember Miguel helped us the most and was very helpful and nice. They had crayons and books for the kids in the conceige lobby and Lincoln Logs to play with. We had to use the room key to get to our floor from the elevator, which was kind of neat. The buffets were wonderful! We ate breakfast everyday there and had afternoon snacks and evening wine and desserts. The food was really good. I don't know if I would pay full price for the conceige floor, but at $30 extra a night it was well worth it for us ( a family of 4) at that price.
The View.... We had the room that was the closest to the inside courtyard, on the inside corner. We could see the pool and geyser, we couldn't see the waterfall. We could also see the lake and the Electrical Water Pageant on it everynight. It was very quiet, but we could hear the elevators running up and down from our room at night.
Hope that this helps! Let me know if there are any more ???????:D :D

We were there 1/19 to and left early this am (in the cold 1/24). We had stayed at the Yacht Club (1/16 to 1/19) prior to moving to WL. The weather was fine save this morning which was really cold. I had to smile at the CM's who had winter coats and gloves on when it was 60 degrees. Kids (DD 8, DS 4) swam in the pool everyday and had a ball on the waterslide.

Transportation to MK by boat was great (10 minutes) andf not much waiting if you just missed a boat, Epcot was fine. Compared to YC, and a previous stay at AK, the walls were quite thin. Our only real gripe, (but a significant one ) was that water parade. It generally went off at 9:30-9:40 pm. Once is all we really needed to see it. We hit all the EE , had early PS's for character breakfasts, and quite frankly we were whipped from our daily park activities so that water parade (and all the deck furntiure moving from the above balconies to see it, we were on the 4th floor) was not particularly enjoyed. We will stay at other resorts in the future as the commotion every night for the water parade is too disruptive,IMHO, for worn out parents with worn out kids. The Yacht Club, however, was wonderful (for us)!

I'm not sure if sharing a bus with the GF is a cut-back. We stayed at the GF a few years ago and on our return trip from MGM we did share a bus with WL. I remember clearly because my 2 1/2 DD had to go to the bathroom "right now". The first stop was WL - so we got off. It was great because I wanted to see the resort anyway!!

:D It was funny to see the castmembers with their big coats and gloves when it was 60 degrees! They should try the seven degree weather we have here!;)
