Our first WDW trip went splendidly. We had the DxDP, and was worth every penny. The following reviews are, I think quite objective.

San Angel Inn-Epcot- Food is ok, atmosphere is really great. If on DP, worth a visit if paying out of pocket, there are better places out there.

Akershus Princess dinner--awesome for little girls who like princesses, but food is not for the picky eaters (dinner is of Norweigan Fare)--if you want to try new things, it's pretty good.

The Plaza Restaurant- Lunch--nice salads, soups (tomato bisque was awesome), and sandwiches. Their ice cream sundaes and banana splits are huge and delicious.

Narcoossee's--If you have DxDP it's well worth it. Children's menu includes a filet. Surf and turf--filet was delicious, lobster tail was rubbery and cold. Desserts-Awesome!!!! The best almond cheesecake ever. Atmosphere was fantastic. We watched MK fireworks (ADR was at 7:25pm).

Mama Melrose's--we loved this place--had bruschetta was appetizer-very good. Flatbreads are made in brickovens and are delicious too. Dessert was nice too, but not outstanding.

Hollywood and Vine-one of our least favorite fares. Very generic, yet overpriced buffet.

Planet Hollywood-our least favorite place-service was just ok, food not so much. Would not eat there again.

Tusker House- Lunch--Allears.net reviewed this buffet the best in WDW. I AGREE!!!!!
The food was fresh, delicious, wide variety of salads, breads, meats, side dishes, and yes the desserts were exceptionally good for a buffet. Even though we had the DxDP, the prices were very reasonable.

Captain Jack's-Downtown Disney-Dinner--We loved the food and the atmosphere (we had a table by the window overlooking the lake). The New England Clam Chowder (made there fresh everyday) was delicious, as well as the Twin Lobster Tails -- juicy and delicious (better than Narcoossee's). The desserts were very good, and the service fabulous.

Tony's-Dinner--Good NY Strips, Fantastic Tiramisu and Pistachio Creme Brulee, but the wait and service was slow.

Coral Reef--Everything we ate was very good, plus the atmosphere was neat.

Spirit of Aloha Dinner--Can't be picky to eat here because everyone gets the same thing. Do not drink the wine that comes with your dinner, unless you like wine from a box! Draft beer (Budweiser and Bud Light) is semi flat. There is a lot of good food. I for one loved the salad, fresh pineapple, and the pineapple/coconut bread (my family didn't like the bread). The main course had very plentiful and delicious BBQ ribs, chicken, rice and steamed veggies. The chocolate mousse was OK.

Overall we overate daily for eight days on the DxDP, and saved a lot of money not paying out of pocket.
