We were at the Dolphin 5/26-5/31 & then moved to the PB for 2 nights. We had a great stay! The hotel is beautiful & restful/relaxing compared to the hurried atmosphere of the parks. We had room service the first night (very good!), lunch the next day at Tchoup Tchoup (walked up a few minutes before 12 & were seated without a problem) & at Mama Della's (called that morning for a ressie - 8 pm; was told 6p & 7p were booked) that night. We also had coffee/pastries/fresh squeezed OJ from the Gelateria in the morning & gelato before we left - enjoyed all! Highlights were the lunch at Tchoup Tchoup (service is especially good here!) & the atmosphere/food at Mama Dellas, strolling musicians. Front desk sent up a surprise for our anniversary - tuxedo decorated chocolate covered strawberries & a bottle of Chianti! Very nice! Also, had a great AP rate for a bay view room. Only request we did not receive was a room with a balcony. Would stay here again in a heartbeat!

I forgot. We also had a great lunch at Mythos! Snacks at various places too!

Your trip sounds so nice. I'm planning on eating at the same places on our upcoming trip, so I'm glad to see you enjoyed them. I'm an early riser, especially on a "park" day and like to grab a quick pastry and coffee in the morning. Do you recall what time the Gelateria opens in the morning? Thanks for sharing your wonderful experience. Can't wait to go!! :cool1:

I believe the morning hours were 6 am - 10 am; then it closed until later afternoon & re-opened from 4 pm - 10 pm. Have a wonderful stay! We're already looking forward to going back! Just as an FYI, there is a new method of transportation that someone commented on & we used it twice. It is like a rickshaw, but it is pedaled like a bicycle. There is no fee charged; they work by tips only. Once we used it when there were some clouds in the distance & some lightening had been spotted. Not only were the outdoor & water rides closed at IOA, but the water taxis weren't running either. It was starting to rain lightly; we could have waited for a bus or walked back, but opted to take one of the "rickshaws" back to the hotel. It was great! We were back in under 5 minutes. Enjoyed it so much we used it one more time. I don't know what others tipped (& some people using them had more than 2 people - I guess it might hold 4 people), but the first time we only had $7 cash on us (used the hotel room key/card to charge in the parks); the next time we gave $10. We thought $5-10 would be reasonable for transport of 2 people for a 5 minute ride.

Enjoyed reading your report ~ Thanx for sharing.
