We were at Pop Century 4/5-4/10 and we loved it. My DH and I took my DD and DgS (5 yrs old). We had connecting rooms in the 80's bldg on the ground floor by the computer pool. The rooms were great and Mousekeeping left us little towel shaped animals, etc which we found when we returned to our room after a day at the parks. Dgs was always interested in what would be waiting for us :) . The temp in the room was very nice (even with the outside temps reaching mid to upper 80's during the day). We had a king and my DD and Dgs had 2 twin beds. The connecting rooms were so great and the beds were very comfortable.

The computer pool did tend to get very noisy late at night and I even had to call one night when it was well past 12:30. The pools are supposed to close at 12 midnight. Just a slight inconvenience among an otherwise awesome time.

The icons and decade themes were really fun and the hippy dippy pool and the splash fountains are great. We really didnt have a very long wait at the resort for bus service and we ate at the restaurant once for supper and once for breakfast. Good food both times.

Asked for Tyler but you had already gone for the day. Sorry I missed you

Anyone going to POP will have an awesome time. Cant wait to go back.:bounce:

We are going to Pop in June ... I am somewhat heartbroken that we aren't going back to stay at POFQ (totally fell in love with that resort!!!). But the deal dh and I made was that we would stay in all the resorts at least once before we return to a resort for a second time. This June it is POP's turn! We are going for a Grand Gathering and have 3 rooms. I have to call up and 'upgrade' to a king sized bed. Do you by chance remember what the cost of the King sized room was vs the regular cost? Was the other room double beds? (can't imagine twin sized beds), my mom will be in the other room with the girls.

Glad you had a great time. We arrive there in 32 days. YEA!!!!! Can't wait....

Thanks for sharing---dh and I are going next month. Which pool was your favorite?

Stinkerbelle-- we just stayed in connecting rooms--one with a king and one with two doubles and both rooms cost the same. I requested the king when making the reservation and then faxed Pop Century directly about four days before arriving to repeat the request. I believe that all the king rooms can connect with another room but they don't have to. I believe the only upgrade at Pop Century is to stay in a preferred room in the 60s building for $10 more a night.

I am gald you enjoyed your stay.

How was the walk to the food court and buses from the 80s building? My DS wants to stay in the 80's since he saw that they have Pac Man on the outside of the buildings but I was leaning toward the 70's buildings.

we are going to pop next week :hyper:

what is the price range of breakfast and dinner at the food court?

We are trying the new place out as well. WL is still my fav, but we like rotating the resorts, plus I got a smashing deal :)

I've never heard of twin beds at Pop. We had a room with 2 double beds. Maybe compared to the king bed the double beds looked like twins.

T&B

Pop Century does not have twin beds -- Most beds are doubles, with a few kings here and there.

Hop on the I-4 and HEAD to Busch gardens...lol I don't know if they still do it, But I remember they used to give free beer. :)

From what I have read...NO.

But you can call mousekeeping and ask them to bring you more towels.

Hope that helps! :)
