Just returned from POFQ

Does anyone have pictures of POFQ? I would love to see how the rooms and the grounds are laid out. We plan on resort hopping just to look around next trip.
Thanks

We just got back from POFQ yesterday. Our room had a ceiling fan and the A/C was VERY cold. We actually turned it on low. I didn't think we would ever do that in a resort!

The resort was never crowded and we didn't really have crowds at the parks we went to either. We aren't early people so we avoided the early entry park and things were good. The longest we ever waited for a ride was 50 minutes for the safari at AK. AK ALWAYS seems crowded to me because the paths are so narrow. We did skip the Nemo show at AK because there were so many people waiting that we didn't think we would be able to get in. We didn't realize it was the last show of the day so we missed out. Oh well...now we have a reason to go back!

Wow... that's encouraging.. We;'re leaving on tuesday to head down there for 8 days.. happy to hear the crowds weren't unbearable... glad you had a great time.. we can't wiat for our vacation to begin

You guys have fun next week. I think I picked the most crowded week in July. We usually go this week and have had better luck with crowds.

We just got back.. Just want to say.. yes they did have ceiling fans in the rooms there.. no speed control, just a switch on the wall.. (on/off). d

Have to say, everything everyone has said on the boards is true here.. We LOVED the place.. it was small so didn't have to walk miles to get to the food court/pool/laundry, etc.

We loved the pool, the foodcourt was great. Good selection of food (we didn't eat much more than breakfast there mostly as we had Dinner or late lunch ressies elsewhere). CM where very friendly and helpful. No towel animals from mousekeeping, but that's okay. They did keep the room clean and stocked with plenty of towels etc.

Not sure when our next trip will be, but we'll definitely be back at POFQ.

I mean.. does this look like someone who is having a bad time??

Fsmith2845 - question: what building did you end up in and how did that work out? We're going Nov 9 -16 and we're considering requesting building 5 because I read somewhere that building 5 has adjoining rooms. I'm so glad to hear that you had a great time. I agonized over my resort choice and am finally comfortable with POFQ.

We were in Building 6 on the first floor... Actually the room we had 6135, had the lockout door for an adjoining room there as well. So you could request that building as well. We had waterview rooms. I took some pics from outside our door, but silly me forgot to let the camera acclimate to the humid weather so it loooks like a foggy day. :guilty: :sad2:

We checked out PO Riverside while we were there.. Reallly nice but wow, so big and depending on what building quite a hike to the pool or food courts...

HOpe you have a great trip.. it definitely ought to be cooler than it was for us.

We are looking into staying here for our June 2008 trip and my question about the resort is...are there elevators in the buildings?

Yes. We used it in Dec, because we were on the third floor. In April we were on the second floor so we just climbed the stairs as they were much closer than the elevator to where we came in from the buses.

We also just came back and we also loved this resort. It was our first time at POFQ and have stayed at many other values, mods and deluxes and we would absolutely stay there again. I actually thought our location (building 5) was the best. Closest to pool, food court and main building (I think building 4 was on the other side of the pool so it would feel the same to them). We were on first floor too and ours did have an adjoining door, as well. We also had a ceiling fan with an on/off switch. The only problem with pool bar is that the man who runs it, closes it "whenever" he wants. Really no rhyme or reason (go figure)...there were about 8 patrons there sitting at bar and he decided he was going to close (it was about 9:30)...anyway, the gift shop sells beer and liquor. we bought some and just put it in our own refrigerator. If anyone is going soon, say hello to Jenn and Matt (lifeguards) tell them the people from Pittsburgh said to say HELLO...they were very nice.

Yasmina, is there any way you could repost your pictures? I clicked on the link and only one photo came up (which I loved by the way!). I'm dying for more pictures...was it just me, or were the rest of you able to see them all? Just want to make sure it's not me!
