Thanks for all the great tips here. We stayed at the Disneyland Hotel from the 13th to the 18th and we all had a wonderful time. The Disney experience was truly great..i dont think i encountered one bad cast member at all. World class all around.

We got to ride every major ride we wanted by using the Fastpasses. Its great that they let you use them after your time window is over. I laughed a little as i overheard a few other guests rushing to meet their time window on the FP's.

The park was pretty crowded all three days we were there last week, but definately more crowded on the non-blocked AP day.

When we rode the new Little Mermaid ride on Friday, it was delayed about 20 or 30 minutes from morning start time, but once it got running the line moved very fast.

The new Star Tours was great as well, but its been so long since i rode the old one, i really dont remember what had changed. LOL

Watched the World of Color and Fantasmic shows, which were both great!

I think the only thing i had a gripe about was the Monorail trains. Not nearly as efficient as the Florida system. They were only running one train and the wait was longer than if you would have just walked.....but Overall, we had a really awesome time...cant wait to go again.

Oh, i forgot to mention that on Friday night, after being closed all week, thety opened up the Matterhorn. Sweet ride! I hadnt rode it in forever. My kids and I had so much fun.

So jealous you got to stay at the Disneyland Hotel! I looked into staying there for just a night to take advantage of the special Little Mermaid fast pass and the pool, but alas, too rich for my blood!

Also good to know about the LM line moving quickly. How was the line for Star Wars? Did you use FP for that?

Little Mermaid is a fast loader because its a contant steam of buggies....it never stops.

We used our special Hotel Guest FP's for Star Tours and we got right in...maybe a 15 minute wait. Winning!

The Disneyland Hotel is very nice. The rooms are not very big, but we made due. The new wateslides were also fun, but not really all that big. Made for kids i guess....once the pool contruction is done it will be even better. Best part about the pools was that the water is heated. It was quite cool in SoCal last week. We ate at Trader Sams for lunch once and it was pretty good food.

magic morning has been very useful for star tours. gor to ride twice and get a fastpass for later that day all by 8:20. lm was just a walk on for both times at 9:00 am for hotel guests. so am using the special fast passes for star tours. have already rode star tours eight times and have seen about 10 different scenes.
the cast members have been first class since we have checked in.
