:cool1: Hey everyone!! We just got back (about 3 hours ago) from our site visit. As soon as we walked into the Living Seas, we knew it was us.... it was amazing and sooooooooooooooooo much more beautiful in person and a lot bigger than it looks in the pics. :cool1: The other cool thing was we got to see the Gazebo at the Yacht club set up for a wedding. We saw a bunch of little boys running around in tuxedoes and little girls in white dresses... it was beautiful and it looks like we will be getting married there. :flower: It was so great to go and look at these places in person. We looked at Ariel's also, but it just wasn't what we were looking for. They were setting up for a wedding there also.. so, if you're the bride that got married this past Friday (12/30/05) - CongratulationS!!!! :sunny: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: I love the standard linens at Living Seas also... blue with a green overlay... so cool.... :sunny: Anyway, looks like the hubby to be is excited about all this (finally) and we will be Disneymooning there at the Polynesian as well. We can't wait!!! It will be my first time (since I was 12 years old) to experience Disney without our daughter... :flower: I can't believe there's less than a year left... ohmigosh... well, back to school for Winter session tomorrow. thankfully it's an online course. I don't have to drive to school in bad weather. I'm sleepy. We drove home from Fl to NJ and had a horrible night's sleep last night, so I'm calling it an early night. Talk to you guys later!! I"ll try to post some pics from the DF's camera tomorrow. good night. :wizard:

I know you said that Ariels was not what you wanted, but can you give me details? My recpetion is going to be there...thanks

Isn't it AWESOME to walk into a site and KNOW it is for you...that's how my dh and I felt when we walked into our location. Also, I know how you feel because dh didn't get truly excited until after our site visit when he got to see everything up close and in person (even though he had been there before)...

Allison, you want details about what Ariels looks like?

Allison, if you want to PM me I have a couple of shots of what it looks like while it's being set up for a wedding. It is pretty, don't get me wrong, it just wasn't for us... plus we saw the Living Seas first and we had pretty much made up our minds at that point. :sunny:

details would be great Codie- Thanks

The best way that I was able to see it (other than looking at it on property) was viewing Fantasia Sam's wedding video on STVS Video's website. It is a very cool location, but there is a little lack of privacy...although you don't really care about that I don't think on the day of your wedding! Next door is Martha's Vineyard that Ariel brides often use for their pre-reception.

The location itself you enter through a green grating and you see this big beautiful aquarium with coral and fish. On the other side of the aquarium is the dance floor. Up to your right is a higher level (a few steps) with a service bar (I don't know how they use that for the brides) and an area with fish chandeliers and round tables. There's an area across from there that is lower that they usually put the bar and gift tables. It's a very beachy themed locale and very bright because there are windows all along the dance floor that look out onto the Yacht/Beach pool (they have sheer curtains). It is very difficult for anyone to "watch" your party unless they stick their noses to the windows or stand at the gate. I LOVED it but are guest list was too large to plan on using it and ultimately my dh and I completely fell in love with the Atlantic Dance Hall.

Hope that helps--I know many of the disboards brides have had beautiful beautiful receptions there...they should have pics and video to share with you!

Codie, we are going on our site visit tomorrow am and are considering the Dance Hall for our reception - just wondering what made it the place you had to go with, and how you felt about doing a buffet - that's the only thing that we aren't too thrilled about... :confused3 Any comments would be greatly appreciated!!
