This was our first visit to HRH. Overall, we had a nice vacation, but were somewhat disappointed in the hotel. I should begin by staying the staff was very friendly and the grounds were well kept. It was nice having a Starbucks on property and the Kitchen was a good choice for lunch.

Our garden view room overlooked a service parking lot and a roof with air conditioners. We called the front desk and were told this was a garden view view. The bathroom tiles had quite a bit of mold and there were several large stains on the spreads and blankets. Housekeeping's response was "the stains are not recent, just difficult to remove". When we called to mention the mold, we were never offered the chance to change rooms.

Overall the onsite hotels did not seem filled to capacity. This made pool visits enjoyable. We visited Portofino and almost had the pool to ourselves! We enjoyed our visit and it was a good learning experience, but enjoyed our recent trip the the Beach Club more.

Sorry you had a less than desirable experience at the HRH.

My last stay at the Polynesian Concierge - the bathroom also had mold and the pillow on the bed closest to the sliding glass door had a half-dollar sized glop of green, crusty snot on the pillow case. We also found prescription medication from the last tenent (geez- wonder whose snot that was?) and empty decongestant in the trash.

Not only was the room not cleaned, it was disgusting. Only thing the Poly did was just tell us they would deep clean the room while we were at the parks. Which I doubt they did because you could not smell any cleaning supplies when we returned.

The Poly did not move us either.

I enjoyed our visit and it was a good learning experience, but we have enjoyed our recent trips to the Royal Pacific and Portofino much more.

Lesson: Any hotel, anywhere, including :worship: Disney :worship: can have its occasional mishaps.

Sorry you had a bad experience. I also just checked out yesterday and my only complaint is that my room had a lot of hallway noise... but thats my own fault since I requested to be near the elevator. I am going back for fathers day weekend and needless to say removed the location request from that reservation.

I am amazed how they try to minimize what you are complaining about.
I do think they have a problem sometimes where a guest leaves the room and brings their bags to their car, housekeeping thinks they are gone, but the guest makes one more pit stop back to the room before leaving. That is the problem for them with express check out. You don't actually check out.

We checked out last Friday, and we had the same problem - people running up and down the halls, yelling, laughing, etc. This even occurred at 2 a.m. This was our 3rd stay at the HR, and we were disapointed this trip.
