Just a quick report. My wife and I, along with our 5 year old daughter, just returned from an 8 day stay at POFQ. (We were there from April 25th until May 2nd).

We had a FANTASTIC TIME! Our trip in a nutshell:

Weather - Unreal, beautiful, perfect. :goodvibes
Crowds - Heavy, but manageable.
POFQ - I can honestly say this is now our favorite resort. The place was immaculate, the service outstanding, and well, we just loved it. CBR used to be my first choice in a mod, but the size of POFQ, and the pool, hehe, made this the perfect fit of cost and function for us. :thumbsup2
The parks - We visited each park twice, once for Animal Kingdom. We had a GREAT time each visit, and only experienced rain for approx 1 hour of our trip, and that was right before Fantasmic. The rain stopped just before the show, and the show was GREAT!!!! :thumbsup2

Overall, I would say this was the best trip of our past three in the past year and a half. We just had a really good time. We planned a little rest time throughout each day, and one whole "pool day" during the trip which kept our daughter energized and not cranky, LOL. The biggest thing I was surprised at were the crowds. We were there this week last year and the parks were fairly empty. This year, IMO, they were JAMMED. Waits were not terrible, but the overall crowds in the general parks was really heavy. Maybe we just picked the wrong days for the parks we picked, but we dealt with it.

Our opinions on updated attractions since our last visit:

Haunted Mansion - HUGE thumbs up - love what they have done with this. :thumbsup2

Spaceship Earth - Another BIG plus - I think they kept the feel of the original ride, while doing much needed updates and changes

Dining Plan - This is our 3rd time using it. With all the bad stuff we have read, I am pleased to say I still think it is a great value. We could care less about appetizers, as we normally do the buffet meals mostly, and the food was all good. The tip? I prefer to tip separately anyway, so, not a biggie for us. If it's still offered, I'm sure we will go with it again on our next visit.

I think those were the only three really new things\changes since last trip, but again, very happy with each.

Anywho, as I said, this is a short report, but wanted to post something, as this will probably be our last visit for at least a year and a half. We are expecting an additional family member, :goodvibes , this October, and we figure we need to wait until they are at least a year or so before taking them to the world. At least I don't THINK we can wait any longer than that if our daughter has anything to say about it, LOL

Have a great day all!!!!

Doh, just wanted to add where we at for ADR's during the stay:

Norway\Princess Breakfast - Excellent overall. REALLY good princess interaction

Liberty Tree Tavern - We love this place, I know many frown on it, but the food was great, service and characters excellent

Hollywood and Vine - Eh, average but OK. Took it for the Fantasmic Dinner package

Park Fare - Very, very, very good. Highly recommended in every aspect. And yes, the evil stepsisters were AWESOME!

Boma - Nuff said. Perhaps our favorite non character dining experience ever.

Whispering Canyon - Always a good time, and great food. (Skillet)

Chef Mickey's - Had breakfast on our last day. It was GREAT. Of course, sad faces on all as we were leaving a few hours later. :(

Thanks for the review! Do you have any pics of POFQ, we are booked there for October. Congrats on your soon to arrive family member :) .

We actually have a TON of pics I'm doing some quick processing on. :) I'm hoping to have them uploaded to our web site, see sig below, within a few days. :thumbsup2

Oh, and thanks for the congrats! :goodvibes

Great I will chack out your website in a few days. I loved your CBR pictures and your DD is adorable too!

The crowds in May have risen signifiantly in the past few years. The first year we noticed the crowd level was more than usual was in 2005. It was just after the 4 hurricanes from the year before. People obviously did not want to deal with bad weather and decided to move their trips from summer to May.

You've got a really nice collection of pics!

You really lucked out on the weather! That's fantastic! I've never been that lucky!

I'm sure your new family member will enjoy those future WDW trips too!

We are headed there in a month... and I wondered what tolietries you had at POFQ- is it the mickey ones or the newer H20 spa ones?

They were H20 products, but had the Mickey pictures on them. Blue bottles for the shampoo stuff, and round soaps. Didn't use any of them though, wanted to add to our growing collection at home. :)

was it separate shampoo and conditioner? sorry to be so nutty...
