Just returned from 5 days at US/IOA!!!!

Yea the people who let you through with only 1 card were being nice, and the person who needed 5 cards was indeed doing his job. The reason some of the attendants allow 1 card to go through is that they have been yelled at before for asking for all the keys, so now that MIB guy will probably let 1 card slide through next time because you yelled at him for doing his job.

The reason they make people all show their cards is to ensure that everyone in the party is indeed staying at the hotel. If they didn't check people would start abusing the perk and let friends and little cousins join up with them and the lines would get crazy long. Just as at Disney with everyone needing a fastpass, everyone needs their express pass/key and I hope the ride attendants become more diligent. It really annoys me when I hear that the attendants aren't checking properly because in the end it is the hotel guest that ends up suffering for it.

I stand with damo on this.

Did you happen to notice how the construction of the new Harry Potter section is going?

You can't really see much right now. We'll have to wait until they start building up instead of building out.

We just returned from a 7-day trip. We were going to do 2 days at WDW 2 days at US/IOA. In fact, though, we had sucha good time at US that we only did 1 day at WDW.

US was a lot less crowded than WDW and a lot more fun. My 2 year old loved US's giant playground, we enjoyed the Barney show, and Seuss Island was SOOOO much fun.

There were 6 people with us and every.single.person liked US more than Magic Kingdom. So don't think that it's a "downer" -- it's pretty awesome, if you ask me!

You should have kept her of the Coasters Lawerence:goodvibes,
I know Robert and now that she has stayed at RPR once she said she won't go back unless we can stay there.:
Glad Universal had the stay 4 days and get 3 free :rotfl:

In the end, it is what you prefer. I do like both Disney and Universal, but if forced to choose, I'll head to US/IOA. We have six nights booked there in December, and we'll take one day to go to the Magic Kingdom, which is as "compact" a park as Disney has. I'll have a good time at both.

Yeah, I agree with a lot of what you said. If you get the chance to, you have to check out the Disneyland Resort in California. It's like the Disney version of US/IOA.

Wow. All these controversial opinions. I love it!
