We just returned from 5 days at POR today. The parks were crowded. Transportation from POR and to POR was long and difficult. We waited so long at times for a bus to MK that we took the one to Epcot instead and rode the monorail over. POR was a good resort, but the transportation was rough. MNSSHP was great, but more crowded than I anticipated. The Boo to you parade was great. All of our ADR 's worked out great. If you have any questions please let me know and I will try to answer them.

How was the condition of your room. I read over on the Resorts Boards, people were not finding the rooms to clean. What dates did you go, people were reporting since after Labor Day the parks were not crowded, it must be picking up again.

Hey there ks12066!!
Dixie Landings (oops) ;) POR, was our Home away from home for 10 years!
We just got back a week ago , but this time for the first time , we stayed at Pop Century to try something different.Although the Music was amazing and the beds were very comfy, I kinda missed the beauty and atmosphere of POR.
I would stay at Pop again though because the bus situation is very organized there...Never waited longer than 5 minutes for a bus the whole week!

I really helps to have the chain stanchions to keep everyone in place.I remember waiting at some other resorts for quite a while , and when a bus came some people who just walked up, pushed ahead of others causing them to have to wait for another bus. :sad2:

Question,,,I am curious,,,on our last trip to POR..the beds seemed to be much higher off the floor than previous trips....is it still the same.?
Also, How was the Food Court? It use to be one of the best around.Did they still have Taco Salads and fabulous Nachos...?

Welcome back,,,Will you return soon, and if so, what resort will you choose?

Not to hi-jack the thread, lol, yes, that is our family. The story behind the picture is we never thought we would see that day. Matt has always hated school, racing has always been his life. His Senior year, he decided to kick it in the butt and took 8 very hard classes to get into college. He succeeded. He still loves racing, he wants to get into the business side of racing, so he is taking business classes.

When we go in April, I told him I would fly him from Marquette MI to Florida over Easter if I could get him decent airline tickets. His springbreak is actually in March, but it would be fun to have everyone together in Florida.

No hi-jack intended!!!! Many praises for him,,,It must have been a tough journey. What a great accomplishment. :thumbsup2
Have a great time in Florida together. :grouphug:

And now back to our show........
When we left off, ks12066 had just gotten back from POR and asked if we had any questions.............................................................

The beds are still high off the ground. The food court was great!. They still have the salad and nachos. We stayed at POP this summer and we liked it much better. When we go again, we probably will get 2 rooms at POP. POP has everything a lot closer than POR. :groom:

Really you thought the parks were crowed?? We just got back last night after a week stay and walk on everything at any time of the day. I think the crowds were VERY light. :confused3
Here is a picture at the Haunted Mansion on Tuesday at 2:00pm in the afternoon.
