I first want to say "thank you" to all of you for the unbelievable info I have received in the past 24 hours just reading the boards. Just yesterday, I was searching for a way to get our family to Disney in a moderate hotel for a few days this August. My DC membership expired in February, so I thought I would NEVER get a discount on anything again, and I had no clue what the Fairytale Package was.
BUT, thanks to you, I called the DC early this morning, renewed my "unrenewable" membership for $17, hung up and called the DC reservations number, and I am now booked for a week at the Beach Club in August! I was looking at Coronado where we have stayed before and loved, but with this new deal I can move up to where I have always wanted to stay but didn't think I could ever afford. I don't care what Disney is or isn't making off of my vacation, I just know that I am psyched!
The CRO agent I spoke with said "We are all shocked about this new package. Disney has never done anything like this in it's history." She also said the "media advertising-blitz" will begin on Sunday, so anyone who is thinking about going should call now!
