Just Relaxin’ on the Wonder – Nowhere, Nothing, Nada. - Complete! and Final Thoughts

I meant buzzed rosay not rosacea rosy. ;)

I didn't see but I will look.

I love the steak sandwich. :cloud9: Joshua and I enjoyed that and the wings.

If there is one thing we have learned over the years, it takes two days for her to catch up on sleep before she can really enjoy a trip. Good thing we booked two cruises, because she might almost miss the first one!

So you need to add 2 days to every trip?

I ended up bailing on the meeting early because it was really silly. They were playing a game where you had to identify a Disney song within about 3-5 seconds of hearing a snippet. We were divided into teams, half the room were Pirates, who were encouraged to say, “Aaaaaargh!” every time their team was mentioned. Our half of the room were the Incredibles, and we were supposed to put our fist in the air and yell, “I’m Incredible!” every time our team was mentioned. What made it even more silly was that after ever song was identified, the host told us to stand up and do strange things like, “act like Jungle animals (ie Jungle book)” or “I want to see puppets! (ie Pinnochio), now, you got no strings!”

That would get really old, really fast.

You’ve all heard of a ship that’s name starts with a “T” and ends with “ick” that no one on a cruise ship likes to mention?

Tick? Trick? :rolleyes1

The person in charge talks with a bull horn about what to do in case of an emergency and then everyone on the ship leaves their stations and rushes the elevators and staircases all at once in a huge frenzy.

Nice work, both of you!

The Truffle Pursettes, and before anyone goes off about funny food they’ve never heard of

Whoa, getting touchy already...:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

I thought it was funny, the couch had been made up. Why? Who was going to sleep there? This was the only night that she did this for us.

Um...:confused3

We didn’t even give him our room key or anything, but somehow this picture ended up in our folder with all the other pictures we took.

It was probably your extra roommate.

did realize that there were potentially sunrise photos to be taken, but it was just too cloudy.

What?? I was promised sunrise photos! I demand a refund!

Once I finished my plate, I ordered this my favorite, Chicken Parmesan. I thought of you @Captain_Oblivious as I ate this tasty morsel of crispy goodness with just a hint of delicate sauce.

That looks just perfect! Sign me up!

Even if you can’t pronounce some of the stuff they serve, I’m sure you would like this one!

You don't have to sell me on chicken parm. Mmmmm...

She had me get her some of the sticky buns.

Hey, I know what sticky buns are too! Especially after all that hiking.:rotfl:

I was a little disappointed. If you see the little glasses of berries on the right, last time they were soaked in Grand Marnier. This time they had a champagne jelly, so I didn’t even bother with them.

How dare they???

put the P&S camera on the charger.

First I read that as POS camera.:lmao:

I tolerated it, and Fran said that “it grows on you.” Because of that all six of the people sitting around her, immediately passed her their drinks.

:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

Plus there were people next to me who didn’t show up and we began to systematically steal their drinks. I really couldn’t tell you how many extra drinks the both of us polished off! Hic!

Holy cow! This sounds like danger.

While Fran was waiting to talk to the future cruise desk folks, I went up to deck 9 to get a drink of the day. Because it was Halloween, the drink was Spooky Juice

 Another drink!

So you need to add 2 days to every trip?

Pretty much. We've been at my folk's house for about 42 hours and she's been asleep for 25 of those hours. I'm trying to wake her up from a nap now, and she keeps asking for another 20 mins, 10 mins....

That would get really old, really fast.

I think I left after each team played two rounds...

Tick? Trick? :rolleyes1

Tolympic.

What? :confused3 That's pretty much how it happens. And they let the handicapped go a little early, so that they can get trampled as the masses leave!

Nice work, both of you!

Thank you very much.

Whoa, getting touchy already...:rolleyes1:rotfl2:

:rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl: I just want you to use your count for when the food really is weird and you can't pronounce it!

:sccratchin

Patience grasshopper.

See you would love Palo brunch!

How dare they???

The nerve!

Holy cow! This sounds like danger.

 Another drink!

The only danger was to Fran's willpower, how else was I going to get her to book two cruises?

OMG!!!

Serves me right for missing out on your updates and now I have Food porn overload. I'm going to have to come back and look at all that food again slowly so that I feel like I've had my fill.

Shame about not getting the Gibson.
But holy moly! WOW! What amazing food and drinks.
Amazing class. I'd like to attend one of those classes; even if I won't do justice to the alcohol served.

All the pictures of the 2 of you have been great so far! And I'm loving the food porn. Holy moly.

That Mixology class looks like a lot of fun. I'd love to attend something like that. Right up my alley.

I've ever been on cruise ever so I am definitely living vicariously through you. A couple of questions, did you notice the movement of the ship really bad and did you find that there was enough grown up things to do onboard?

:rotfl2: Palo alone is quite the overload! That was probably one of the better food porn updates of the whole cruise!

It would be fun to have you with us. You could have all you wanted and then Fran and I would finish off your drinks as soon as your tea kettle started whistling!

Thanks! I'm just getting full thinking about that meal at Palo. I also just had lunch.

They have them on just about every cruise. It's probably the most popular class as you get a variety of drinks and it's a lot of fun.

You do notice the movement of the ship. Not all the time, but mostly when you are going fast, walking by portholes or laying in bed. I've never had the ship's motion bother me except on my second cruise. We were on a Carnival ship and there was a storm brewing nearby. There were a few times, when I literally felt the ship drop out from under me on that cruise. Other than that time, I've never had it really bother me. I sort of enjoy the feeling of the ship in motion, it's comforting to me.

As far as adult things to do? We have never been bored while on the ship. If today was any indication, we had plenty of adult stuff going on, but for the rest of the cruise, I'll let you determine. The most childlike things I think we do are character meets, and we do our share of those, but otherwise I think we keep ourselves entertained with adult activities.

Well I am soo late to the party! Haven't been on here much after as last week so busy getting back into things after our week away to DL (so wish it would have worked out to meet up with you guys!)

Great start! Your Palo memories bring back so many great memories of our May cruise ( I took so many food pics, planning to do a dining report, but that didn't get to it) from the cheeses to the parm to the cannoli yum!

Love the pirate costumes, you guys look great! We had a blast on pirate night.

Your mixology class was like ours- lots and lots of drinks in a short period of time! Score at the end too!

Can't wait to read more!

The food! :faint: OMG The food! Everything looks SO delicious! I can see why you might have put on a couple of pounds in a week. I think I gained weight just looking at your pictures!!

If I wasn't convinced before.... I certainly am now! I've been on one cruise before- the year between my Sophomore and Junior years in HS, and I fed the fish a couple too many times. I remember leaving a river of blood from a shaving "incident" in the shower and my cabin host laughing his @$$ off at me while I asked for another towel. I think I need a re-do.

It's understandable, I had a hard time reintegrating as well. I need to get in as many updates as I can while I'm at my parents because once I get home it will be work, work, work!

So is the Fantasy Palo like the Wonder Palo?

We had a great time too, but eventually the costumes had to come off and back to day clothes.

I love Mixology, it's so much fun! You really get to let loose and have good time and it's Disney! What can go wrong?

Heck on the two day cruise I probably put on half the weight, but just wait and see until the five night!

Tell me you DID see the posts from the Brunch at Palo? That is some :worship: worthy food porn!

OK, I'm totally confused. Is "fed the fish" code for something I don't know about? And why in the **** would your stateroom host ever laugh at you when you are bleeding? :confused3 You NEED to go on a Disney cruise, they do nothing but take excellent care of you and make sure your are happy and totally pampered!

DID I EVER!!!!!! Good LORD!! I'd gain a butt-ton of weight! By the way, I just learned the other day what a "buttload" actually means.... I had no idea! And the best part? It refers to WINE!

"Fed the fish" = had a bit too much (or a lot too much) and ralphing overboard.

I think he was very amused that I was being an idiot, irresponsible, knuckleheaded teenager doing really stupid stuff. Who knows. Yes, I really need a re-do!

I googled it! That's funny to know. It is very possible that I may have a total of a buttload of wine in the cellar at my old house. It depends on how many bottles would make up a buttload. OK, I just did the math and it's 634 bottles. My cellar only holds 500 something bottles and it's not even 3/4 full, so I don't have a buttload of wine.

Wow! Never heard that one, and I thought I had heard most! It must have been a Carnival cruise. I don't think nowadays Disney would put up with that kind of behavior and especially from a minor. I'm not saying I wasn't there at some point in my life, but at this point in your life, I'm sure you wouldn't want to see that either.

Regardless, no one should have been looking the other way at a knuckleheaded teenager potentially putting themselves at risk (even though many of us were there at one time or another). I think I may have been leading the pack. In fact my parents had a discussion with my sister when they started having kids and the sentence, "We just had to hope that everything would work out for the best." Came out when they talked about me. I didn't think I was THAT bad, but when I talk to other people my age, I find out that maybe I was. I mean I wasn't killing anyone or robbing people, but evidently when it came to partying an general mayhem, evidently I was at the top of my class especially when compared to Disney going folks. Who would've known? :confused3

See? You can always learn new things on TRs! :lmao:

I bought my first case of wine about 2 months ago, because we finally found one we like enough to make a bona fide "table wine". But still a long say from a buttload. Sadly.

Very true. He was foreign though, so who knows...? It was a cruise on the Mediterranean, so there wasn't any really paying attention to who was drinking what. I have no idea. We had a great time all over Europe on that trip in Italy, Germany, Gt. Britain... Such fun!

I've got bottles that I've been cellaring since before the new Millenium. We lived in that place since 1997 and the cellar has been there a long time. We moved in June 2014 but since we still own the place, and it's a 4 unit rental (we lived in the "owner's unit", it's taking longer than we want to move out. The cellar is one of the things that will be the last to move because it is a PITA and I can always go over and get wine if we need it, but only the good wine is there and we haven't had an occasion to need it since my birthday in May.

Ahhh, I was thinking it was one of those booze cruises to Mexico on Carnival since you grew up in California, I can see why they wouldn't look twice at teens drinking on a Mediterranean cruise as opposed to a cruise aimed at the American market. Even on cruises from America, your stateroom hosts are not American, but on Disney they are so nice it's crazy, I love the loyalty that they inspire in their crew. I think that is part of the reason I enjoy the cruises even if there were a lot kids on the last one. I don't mind kids, as long as they aren't obnoxious and in my face.

Look at all that delicious food!!! popcorn:: popcorn:: popcorn::

Sounds like a very fun day of eating and drinking.

Fantastic about rebooking the January cruise with that discount and OBC :cool1:
