Just received tickets from UT, so what's next?

We are so excited! We just received our 5 day park hopper tickets from Undercover Tourists, and our 60 day window for Fastpass+ is just around the corner.

What do we need to do now? In other words, how do we go about linking our tickets to MDE so we can reserve fastpass+ when our 60 day window opens? Is it best to link them right now or wait? Once we have them linked, will we need the "credit card" size/type ticket we received from UT, or will our tickets then be on our MDE account.

This is not our first Disney trip, but this is our first time buying the tickets from someone other than Disney. Historically we have bought packages from Disney.

As soon as you have the ticket, voucher, or confirmation # over the phone, you can assign them to individual people in your party. Make sure each person has a separate account and that they are all linked and have given you full permission to make changes. Make sure each person is able to login and they see everyone else. Many people share email accounts, have multiple emails, and multiple Disney logins, so work that out now. Do this on a real web browser, but do install the app on your phone so you can make changes while at the park. You can add room reservations and dining without tickets.

The sooner you link them the better. (just to make sure they show up)

With all the kinks of MDE I would bring the hard copy tickets as well as a precaution.

If you have the MDE mobile app loaded on either a phone or table with a camera, you can use MDE to scan the QR Code on the back of the ticket to link them to MDE. You will need to link them to MDE in order to make advance FP+ Selections.

If you have (or will be receiving) MagicBands, those can be used in place of the RFID cards to enter the theme parks, FP+ return queues, etc. You can use any MagicBand or RFID card assigned to you interchangeably.

Actually, if you are just one family, I think it is easier to not bother giving everyone a separate account, and instead listing everyone on your account. That means you would be doing the planning for everyone (FP+, ressies) but you won't have to worry about coordinating and linking accounts. Also I don't think kids need their own account.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I linked our tickets to my MDE account last night. I have a concern now though regarding our Fastpass+ window. After linking my tickets, it is allowing me to reserve fastpasses beginning immediately but only giving me a 30 day window. My stay at the Boardwalk Villas does not begin until October 13th. What do I need to do to get MDE to link the tickets to my onsite stay? I have a friend who is going the week before us. They bought a package from Disney, and his account does not allow them to book fastpass yet. It tells them when their "60th" day out is. My Boardwalk Villa reservation is showing up on my MDE account.

If your Boardwalk ressie is linked on your MDE account, then you should be able to make FP ressies for your trip 60 days before check in (~Aug 13). Until then, you can only make FPs 30 days in advance.

So, there is no need to be concerned that MDE currently has a 30 day window open for me? You are saying it will convert over to a 60 day window in 17 days when I'm at 60 days out?

I guess I'm a little nervous beings my friend's account has his fastpass button with a lock on it saying he is not at his 60 day window yet, but mine is not doing the same.

That is most likely because he purchased tickets directly through Disney. When you purchase a package, MDE knows when your tickets will be active (at check-in). You have 3rd party tickets that are active now.
