Just received a second set of Magic Bands??

I just received a second set of magic bands, for the same 4 family members, that I received on Friday. Do I just call the main Disney number to sort this out? Same colors, same names....

Nope, at the Contemporary the whole time.

I wouldn't worry too much.
Probably just a glitch in the system and your magic bands were processed twice.
You could call just let let them know but its not like they are gonna make you give them back or anything.

You can check in MDE app under "My Profile" then "Magic Bands and Cards" the to see if both sets are assigned to your family members by comparing the serial numbers in MDE to those on the inside of the MBs.

I wouldn't worry about it. They should both work for everything. It gives you a back up set.

Even though you are staying at the Contemporary the whole time, if you look in your MDE account, does it show two reservations numbers for the same resort? I know we had one time where we were staying at POR for 3 nights, but the 3rd night it was technically a separate reservation since the resort wasn't available for all 3 nights in a row. If that's not the case, then it sounds like it was a glitch.

If both sets are listed in MDE then they are just clones of each other and they will both serve their intended purpose. No need to worry. As Hopper said in PP, you now have a backup set for when one of you loses yours on Space Mountain. LOL.

Literally the only ride I've ever had a MagicBand come off on. I was in seat number 6. Otherwise known as the rattling seat of doom. The shaking was so bad at one point my arm bounced down at and clipped the upper edge of the seat in front of me, popping my MB right off. Fortunately as we came into the station I found it had fallen down towards my feet and not over the edge. I imagine the floor of Space Mountain is littered with heaps of MagicBands.

Yup. Same here. Felt mine starting to come loose half way through and had to take it off and hold onto it for he remainder of the ride. When we were finished DD8 told me she lost hers. Since then I've read many stories of people losing theirs on SM.

Yup, our only lost one ... first trip with them, part of the test group. DS lost his on RnR. He was so upset. They weren't selling them yet and they gave him a new ... gray ... one. Didn't go over well. Never had a problem again with old ones.

New ones we have had problems with them popping off but we've caught them. I bought some Bitbelts and now they are snug.

I lost mine on Test Track. Didn't realize it at first and had to go back and have them wait for our car to finish making the rounds.

My son loses one every trip . This year I'm bringing spares.

We never lost one when we had the old bands. First trip with the latest model, 2 hours in, my daughter's band fell off in the swimming pool.

We used Bitbelts and had no trouble with our coming off.
