hi all,
Ok so this weekend i was off friday to wed,so i decided that i would get the back yard in order.Went to a bbq sat and was invitied to others, but i wanted to get the back yard in order. So fri and all of sun and most of today i was killing myself back there.Today i was 90% done when ds pointed out something to me.Daddy he says i think the bees live there!i am thinking what bees, show me.I see a bee or 2 every now and then in the back yard but no major thing in the past.Yep there it is,somehow this year, and not noticed before i have a vinyl window blind to prevent the sun from pouring into the patio and yes he's right i see 2 or 3 bees enter the rooled up potion.I can only guess i have the start of a hive in there and btw these were not your normal every day bees, they appeared to be super mutant bees.I tell him(Remember this,I tell him)not to go near it or touch it and i call the fire house and speak to one of the guys who assured me that as long as i don't piss them off they will leave me alone. He will come over on thur and help me take care of them(which also means i have to buy like a 88 pack of beer cause this guys drinks like a fish)

Anyway Ds decides that thursday is no good for him and pulls the strings that makes this blind roll down and with that come out around of 20-30 Pissed off bees and what appeared to be a hive and other things,he thens screams and runs into the housei look up just to see this and see him run into the house, slam the locked(yes i say locked)patio doors shut. the doors have a red and green button on the outside, and if its red it means its locked from the inside, which now has locked me out of the house,i can see him run all the way down the hall and out of the house.I now where he is going,to find mommy who is sitting next door at her folks house,I'm stayin well away from the patio and in the futherest part of the back yard, which by the way is not that far since i live in brooklyn and back yards are like 2" by 3". At this point i hear a thump and look up to find dw now screaming and realizing she has locked not only me in the back yard again but herself too.I got to watch her run down the steps and over too me,at which point she is screaming to do something"there is a hundred of bees over there, are you gonna do something about them"

Lets see,I'm locked out now with you too,the hose is off,i have bee spray and bee killer stuff which is all in the house and my cell phone and house phone is also in the house. What can i possible do?I know i read a book that after a bee stings you it dies,There are approx 20 to 30 bees i go get stung 15 times and then you go take 15 stings for the team and by that point there all be dead and then we will be safe as we halucinate from the fevers, sounds like fun, huh?you know i thought that was the best idea/plan but she did not like it all all.So as we stay and watch the bees flying all around my patio, i got a real idea,my neighbor keeps his hose on my fence pointed at his flowers in order to wet them and theres the hose and i know for a fact he never shuts the water off to it,so I figure i will spray them with the water. In the end the water worked one by one as they flew at us i got em and they started to fly away,Dw was my only life line out of this and her locking the door behind her, well life lines were all over.We got in touch with grandma who came over and let us in.The bees have returned, but i now know where they are living and on thursday i will be sub leasing thier space, and they will be moving out.
Dis claimer: no bees or humans or animal or minerials or vegtable were hurt in the making of this story, however i cannot promise the same results for thursday.

That is scary

I am more afraid of bees than going to the dentist!

Good luck cleaning out the nest

I feel for ya. I just discovered bee's under the shutters and will be dealing with them sometime this week when I get up the nerve. Susan

I know bees are not funny and I am glad no one got hurt. However, your story gave me a laugh. I can just imagine your son running into the house, locking you out... Sounds like something from a comedy movie.

Have fun dealing with those bees on Thursday.

Sounds like a very exciting time at your house!!
I loved your story I could picture every detail in my head :lmao: ...sorry about the bees but thanks for giving us a chuckle!

Thanks for the :lmao: :lmao: this morning. Good Luck on Thursday!

:scared1: You would have heard the screaming in Brooklyn if that had happened to me!

I know this could have been serious and all that, but OMG I laughed so hard at your story!

I just can't stand all the bees out there. Doesn't it seem like there are lots these days?!

Dh was cutting back a bush on Saturday that apparently contained a bee hive and got stung several times. Glad it wasn't me :teeth: .

Reminds me of the time many moons ago when I was sitting in our living room with my Dh and his mom and a few friends. The door to our garage was open and in ran a mouse. Our friends took off out the back door. My MIL started screamiing and then took off out the front door with me right behind her. I slammed the door behind me thinking DH would stay and take care of the problem, only to hear him run into the front door and start calling me a few choice words about leaving him in their to fend for himself. :confused3 I guess he got me back a few years ago when we were outside talking with neighbors on a summer evening. He came out of the house and said something to the neighbor that I didn't here. About 15 minutes later I went in to change one of the kids and a bird came flying toward me and scared me so bad, people on the next block could hear me. I went outside and DH and the neighbors were all cracking up because they all knew Tweety (a little sparrow) was waiting to attack. I guess now it's my turn......
