Just Purchased...Member ID Question

Hi Disfriends!

DH and I just purchased our first DVC contract direct at VGF. We are SO excited! This has been a dream for a very long time and I am really excited to start figuring everything out. I got an email from Disney with a one time activation code and that said to set up my member account. It says I will need a member ID plus the activation code to do this. Where do I get my member ID?

Any advice? I have already emailed our DVC guide, but I haven't heard back yet. Just thought I might have overlooked something. If it takes a while to get a member ID, then I'll just have to figure out how to be patient. :yay:

Should be some where in your purchase documentation. If not, then you'll have to wait for your guide. Once you have it, MS can help you set up your account.

Yes, it does take a while to get your Member ID number.

We had the same problem when we bought in direct. Sorry, but I don't recall how long it took. Too long, we thought!

Sadly, as pandemic-weird as things still are, there's no telling how long it may take currently.

I wondered the exact same thing when we bought direct about a week ago. Our member ID ended up being at the top of the documents they sent us to sign. That email came an hour or two behind the first email with the link. It confused me bc your temporary password is in one email and your ID is in another. So, hopefully you will get the other email quickly! They did tell me there can be a delay with the paperwork on the weekends.

I was able to get my member ID from my guide, no problem. Then, when I went to set up my account online, I was stumped by the Club ID, which is not the same as the member ID. Thankfully, our DVC guide rescued me again, and found my Club ID.

I did my orientation today, and I got my online account all set up. Hooray!
