I am so excited. We bought Copper Creek (275pts) last year and of course caught the "itis" so we just purchased Beach Club (100pts). Same use year so I think I made a good choice. We love CCV usually stay about 6 nights and like to add 2 nites at BCV so it made sense to buy. Learned how difficult it is to book BCV if not an owner-especially because we usually travel between Thanksgiving and Christmas.
I am just a little concerned with the 2042 end date vs CCV 2068. Any thoughts.....

Congrats! Well done!

Same UY is essential, IMO. So much easier to manage bookings.

We like those Sleeping Around Points for similar use. :)

Really nice difference in the two resorts and gives you a home advantage at BCV ifyou want to do F&W or F&G fests.

Possible disad is if you were to need to sell it with that 2042. Would have to be priced carefully to appeal and escape feeding ROFR the Hungry Disney Pup. 😉

Congrats, went been trying to get BCV through resale, waiting on our third contract to go through ROFR. The thing about Beach Club is that other than 1 Bdrm, you almost have to be an owner to book studios and 2 Bdrm unless you rent points.

Congrats! All our contracts are BCV. Hard to beat the pool and location. CCV is my second favorite that I sometimes book with my BCV points if it's available.

The only bummer is the severe decline in quality at beaches and cream, but that's easily fixed with a quick boat ride or walk over to the dolphin. Beyond that, it's hard to find anything else to complain about.

Seeya poolside.....

Congrats!!
Don’t stress too much about the end date. I know paying dues until 2068 sounds painful (that’s an additional 26 years compared to BCV’s nice 2042 end date!) but I think CCV is a nice resort and you can always sell it to get out of the dues that seem to go on forever. :)

Diff'rent strokes, must be.

We've long enjoyed their ice cream and finally had lunch there last fall.

No complaints at all--except I ate so much I couldn't finish my sundae. 😭

It just really inconsistent standard disney fare. It used to be a really top quality diner-style grill to the point where we'd sometimes skip a signature meal for another double cheeseburger 😂 (they used to have SUCH great thin patties.) The ice cream has always been whatever brand the parks & resorts contract with - Dreyer's aka Edy's for the past 20+ years - and there's certainly nothing wrong with Edy's :) If you order a shake, though, be sure to ask for real ice cream unless you like that shake mix garbage. (That's a new "feature" as well :sad2: )

Nevertheless, if this is the worst I can complain about, that's a GOOD sign for the resort! I wouldn't own all my points there if it weren't the best.

Thank you.
Actually I am more concerned about 2042 UY at BCV. I love knowing that my young adult children will be able to use CCV with their children well into the future.
If I do the math-BCV is much more costly per pt divided over 19 years BUT we love staying there so it was worth it....I think. Lol

Welcome home! You will LOVE beach club! We've had no regrets.

BCV owners since 2016 & no regrets. It’s so hard to book if you don’t own & for us it’s felt like home since our first stay in 2014 (we feel the same about our SSR home, even though most don’t). We don’t mind the 2042 expiry even though we’ll only be in our mid 60s then.

I have a relatively high (loaded) BCV contract in ROFR now, and am starting to wonder if I should have got SAP instead. I actually WANT a 2042 expiration, and with smaller point contracts (50) bargaining a few dollars per point doesn't matter as much in the long run. But it's not exactly a deal. One reason we went for it, other than just buying where we wanted to stay, was that for a 2042 contract it would always retain some value, because the location and pool will always be a huge draw. When we visited recently, the line for the skyline after Epcot close extended PAST the BCV side entrance. And getting on a skyliner to Epcot from Riviera at noon took forever, because they were all arriving full from the other resorts. There was no one waiting for one and it still took a while till we could board at all. I can imagine it being a real issue at park opening. As the shiny new-resort smell starts to fade, I feel like that issue will become more of a dealbreaker for people.

Congrats!! Welcome to the neighborhood! We bought BCV two years ago. Like you said, it's almost impossible to get a reservation there if it isn't your home resort. It makes for the best pool day at Disney, too. The entire vibe of BCV is exactly why we decided to make that our home resort. And that 100yd walk from Epcot to BC is really unbeatable, especially late at night when you are tired. I am sure I am not telling you anything you don't already know, which is why you bought there!

Regarding the 2042 expiration, it is still 20 years away. I wouldn't worry about that. As long as you are happy with the purchase, you have 20 YEARS to enjoy it :)

We just had Beaches and Cream two weeks ago on our trip. It was just as good as always! The ambiance is obviously different since the remodel, but the food and ice cream was great!

^^^THIS! Another BCV owner. We knew we wanted to stay here so we had to buy here and have never regretted it one bit!

May I ask a question? We love the location of the boardwalk. I notice there is only 1 resale listing up for BCV. There are more for BWV. Is this consistent? I'm just wondering if things have changed recently with the new VGF or if there are typically very few BCV for sale.

(we already have direct at CCV so we were playing around with resale since we love BW area)
