Just paid final Payment

Hello All, I just my final payment today for out trip next month to the fort. We are staying in the cabins and will have a golf cart. I wanted a cabin away from it all, as secluded as I could get, so the cm I talked to said that would be loop 2700-2800. Hope thats right. If anyone has any input on this let me know.

We just got back from our first trip and stayed in a cabin in the middle of the 2800 loop. We didn't request anything, we just hoped for the best and couldn't have been happier with our cabin. It was wonderful and backed up to a wooded area

The location was perhaps not ideal for someone who wanted to walk everywhere but we had a golf cart so we didn't at all mind that our loop was the furthest from the marina and trading posts. Next trip we will probably request the same location. Have a fun trip!

We have never requested a loop but always got loop 2600. Three times. We liked it but I think we would like any loop!!!! We had a golf cart. I am thinking of requesting another loop just to have a little change. Have fun.

Thanks for all the input guys, looks like you can't go wrong no matter where you stay. I think I'm gonna start packing little by little in a couple of weeks, doesn't seem like the weather is gonna warm up in MI.

Nice to kinda meet you I have lived in MI for only 15 years, but my husband is from the Lansing area. Hopefully we won't have to move because the economy (DH works for GM, safe for now). I used to live in FL and still have family there, would be a bummer if DH got a job there

How do you pay in full for the Fort? All they charged me is a deposit and never gave me a paid in full date- I assumed it was like any other resort where they charge you the rest when you check out? Oh wait actually it says it's due upon arrival?

I booked our vaca back in February or so and I have just been making payments with my very part time paycheck from CVS. Our final payment was due 45 days before we arrived. I had to call and make it. When you check in they ask you what credit card you want to use for additional purchases on your key card (key to the world card).

I will keep an eye out for DIS members. We had very nice signs printed out that I will hanging on our golf cart and cabin door. Can't wait.

As has been stated, packages have to be paid in full 45 days. But, with that said I always make room only reservations and pay a little each month. Most times you get a payment envelope in with your confirmation package, or you can call and pay additional monies with a credit card.

I just have the site- not a pkg. I didn't even get a written mailed confirmation- just an email with confirmation #! I mean I got the confirmation paperwork for the cruise- but nothing for the site except the email.

I'm so used to the cruises now getting the confirmations right after you book. I actually thought that's all you get is the email confirmation and was fine with that. LOL

I got an email confirmation and a mailed written confirmation when I booked last year, but I have a MYW package, not just a site. I wonder if that makes a difference?
