Why do you want to be near the confort station? I understand if your camper does not have a bathroom but if it does then???

Believe it not, I have read on other forums that there are people who do not use their shower. Can't figure that one out myself but then what ever floats your boat.

I will say that in the winter there is nothing like a nice long hot shower and the comfort station has plenty of hot water.

Closer to the washers and dryers.

Don't want to worry about needing to dump the holding tanks.

The extra walking is a good thing.

I personally like taking a LONG hot shower after a long day w/ 3 kids! A 6 gall water heater in the camper just isn't big enough. Also, other posters have said that they only use their camper toilets for certain things and go to the cs for other things. Since I have 3 kids, we use the heck out of our camper bathroom!

when we camp we don't really need to be next to the comfort stations.. but as LMC stated.. "the water heaters are small".. and sometimes you need a loooong hot shower :) there are times when I wish they had a tub.. better yet a hot tub at the fort would be awesome :)

since my DD,13 yr old is into long showers she will be going to the comfort station :) (supervised of course)

I also know people who always use the comfort stations over their own...I have seen them hauling containers to them.. A dear friend has her own shower head, wrench and clothes line, along with duct tape.. she gets the stares for sure but hey to each their own :)

having camped in a pop up for over 8 years I was glad to have my own bathroom.. just wish we had 2 sometimes along with a full size bath.. Im sure one day we will up grade LOL

happy camping :)

With 6 mixed gender non family members along (kids friends) being next to the comfort station lets everyone get ready at the same time.

Being by the comfort station is great if you are the parent of 3 teen-age daughters!!! We have two bathrooms in our RV and we end up using the comfort station constantly. There are 6 of us total, so using the little 6 gal. water heater is laughable. 4 of us have long/thick hair which makes showering in the RV impossible. I won't even get started on the girls blowing the circuit breakers all the time with their blow dryers, etc. or the toxic cloud of hair product that settles over the RV!!!! I'm a mean mom ........ I send them all packing to the comfort station!

Just curious bianca, what brand of RV do you have that has two bathrooms? I have never seen one that has two!:earseek:

Our RV is a 36' Dutchmen FW. One of my daughters actually spotted this model at the 2000 RV show. We looked at other brands trying to find the same floor plan, but to no avail. Needless to say, we upgraded that year!

I am a tent camper myself, so being near the comfort station is a dream!

However, the one time when we stayed at a KOA Kampground when I was a kid in one of their rented travel trailers, since the bathroom was so tiny, we always used the shower house at the campground.

That just blows my mind to think of a two bathroom RV...what luxury! But you would think they would put in more than a 6 gal. hot water heater. But then again, I don't think I have ever heard of more than a 10 and I think that was an after market unit.

Do you mean two full bathrooms or two sinks? We have two bathroom sink areas in our Motor home....we pick our new one up tuesday and the new bathroom is awesome....I can't wait.

I used the comfort station last month when we forgot to kick on the water heater, I didn't really like it. I didn't feel secure. I think I know what the duct tape is for!!! LOL I said everything we paid for the motor home was worth it to not have to stop at skanky bathrooms!!! I like my own stuff!
