Just out of curiosity, what would YOU do...

Our ADR window for our trip in November opens up next week. We're staying in the Boardwalk Villas for five days, and we pretty much already know everywhere we want to make reservations. What I'm curious about is this: I see a lot of recommendations on here for people to go to character dining and buffets, which are two things we aren't really interested in doing, as we don't have any kids and we're not all too into the buffet experience.

So, if you were in our shoes, and had a five-day stay in the EPCOT area, without choosing any buffets or character meals, how would you schedule your day?

le cellier, Tutto Italia, Biergarten are some of the ones I would go to if we didnt have our grandkids going too.......
The reason some people say to do these character meals is that it takes less time to sit down order your drinks and then get up and get food......Kids like to have food when they sit down like they do at home...
I love the feeling of being in the Boardwalk area.

Flying Fish at Boardwalk is one our favorite (even if Kevin didn't like it). Chefs de France was fabulous as was Teppan Edo (Japan). Big River Grill has a great Kobe burger, it's been 2 year but my wife still talks about it, sitting our on the boardwalk while dining and people watching is a blast. We play do they own a mirror. Check out Swan & Dolphin they have some excellent choices too. If you're a DVC member Swan & Dolph have great discount for DVC members. Don't forget to check out Jelly-Rolls. Don't know if you can tell but Boardwalk is our favorite.

I'd pick Teppan Edo, Tutto Italia, Le Cellier, Big River Grill and Flying Fish.

How would I schedule? Visit all of the parks in the day to do rides. Eat baked goods/counter service for breakfast and lunches. Return to resort in the afternoon. Dinner at Epcot/Boardwalk; shop, stroll, snack in WS most of the evenings (maybe go to DHS for Fantasmic one night and back to MK one night for fireworks).

What non-buffet/character would I eat without kids? Le Cellier, Teppan Edo (would do with kids, too). Would love to try Bluezoo--looks way cool, and maybe Shula's. Those are two that I haven't done with the kids...

In my fantasy I'm not on the dining plan and money isn't an issue. So I went to some favorites and added in the California Grill because its on my to-do list.

I would recommend Chef de France for your "couple night".

We eat lightly during the day (an occassional quick service, some snacks) and then have our dining reservation in the evening so we can relax.

We did the Fantasmic/dining package on our last trip. We ate the buffet at Hollywood and Vine and then went to the Fantasmic show. Lots of fun!

Like you, I typically do not enjoy buffets or character meals, so I can make a few recommendations.

Flying Fish Cafe and Kouzzina are both wonderful restaurants located steps away from your room. Yachtsman Steakhouse is another nice place nearby.

All the World Showcase restaurants fit your criteria besides Biergarten in Germany and Akershus in Norway. Chefs de France is usually a good choice. It's not one of my favorite restaurants on property, but it's close to your resort and consistently solid.

If you're willing to venture beyond the Epcot area, I suggest Kona Cafe at the Polynesian and Jiko at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.

Thanks for the replies, all. I wasn't really looking for recommendations. I was just curious as to how you would schedule your trip if you were taking our vacation. I just wanted to see how other people do their thing. Kind of a social experiement, if you will.

Anyway, we aren't really planning on many breakfasts, and almost no lunches that aren't snacks at Food & Wine or just something light and quick service, so we're doing signature dining every night we're there. Califronia Grill, Flying Fish, bluezoo, and Jiko, in that order. We're also going to fit in a Breakfast at Kouzzina and another at Grand Floridian Cafe somewhere in there. The rest will just be played by ear.
