Just off the phone with DVC

My "agent" called to check up on us (we toured DVC in Nov. and are saving fo the downpayment) and stated that SSR will be sold out in a few days and AK is still available. She also stated that she is hoping for an "announcement" soon regarding new DVC resorts. I mentioned I had heard about the site at Contemporary and although she didn't say anything was confirmed she sounded very optimistic that it would be happening soon.

Something about the way she said "new DVC resorts" made me think there may be another DVC site as well, though it could just be my imagination.

She asked if we were planning a trip this year and I had to say no. We are saving and planning on purchasing in the fall.

Can't wait.

I just spoke to my guide this afternoon about an add-on and he said he guesses Disney may start selling DL DVC in 6-7 months...ahh...why SO long?

The other new DVC resort annoucement alluded to is for the sales of Disneyland's Grand Californian Hotel & Spa (Grand Californian Villas), which will start this Fall. Old news at this point but the sales have yet to be officially announced.

I would not say "alluded to", it was officially announced, also Hawaii.

Not when sales will start but they have officially announced the resort is being built. More than they have done for the Contemporary.
