We just finished our second sailing with Disney and it was fantastic! We first sailed with them 4 years ago and it wasn't a great experience, but mostly because it was in January and the weather was freezing, and there were 5 of us crammed into a state room. This time it was just my husband and I, and we had such a wonderful time.

I was really worried that I was going to miss the parks because they are our first true love, but we were just at the parks in February and we figured with the weather and crowds it would be a good time to try another cruise, and I'm so glad we did. I didn't miss the parks at all and now I'm close to loving the cruise even more! We are already thinking about when we can cruise again.

The crew on the ship absolutely blows away the cast members in the parks. The entertainment was top notch. We had the 3 regular Disney shows at night, and 1 magic show with Scott Pepper. I know he doesn't get great reviews on this site, but we thought he was great. He was entertaining and funny, and the British accent doesn't hurt either :)

We had one day where we were in the beginning of the formation of Hurricane Arthur, and it happened to be our Castaway Cay day. At one point, they weren't letting anyone off the ship and I was pretty bummed because we didn't get off the ship in Nassau and I was really looking forward to Disney's beautiful island. But luckily they made the decision to go back to Castaway Cay the next day, which was supposed to be our sea day, and we had gorgeous weather. It was the perfect way to end the cruise. Needless to say, we loved every minute.

Our itinerary was originally supposed to be this:
6/29 - Sail away
6/30 - Nassau
7/1 - Castaway Cay
7/2 - Sea day
7/3 - Disembarkation

It ended up being:
6/29 - Sail away
6/30 - Nassau
7/1 - Castaway Cay
7/2 - Castaway Cay
7/3 - Disembark

What they ended up doing on 7/1 was docking at Castaway, then we left there a little earlier than planned and sailed through the night so we could have the pirate party and fireworks, then went back to Castaway and docked the morning of 7/2.
