I don't think we've had a WDW trip w/o an urgent care visit for at least one family member.
We're currently at the Boardwalk 2/16-2/23, & our 18mth old was coughing so hard last night that she couldn't sleep & was crying most of the night. We just got off the Wonder yesterday & I noticed her cough getting progressively worse throughout the cruise. She's been on 10 days of antibiotics for an ear infection, but I'm wondering if her lungs are now congested as she's wheezing too.
I'm trying something new, having a Dr come to the resort room & called The Medical Concierge. I checked with my insurance & they'll reimburse for the fee, which starts between $160 - $220 & goes up depending on meds & tx. Expensive, but easier than dragging sick kids to the Urgent Care center where they'll be exposed to who knows what other germs.
Cross your fingers for me that this goes well & baby gets better & no one else gets super sick. Going to be a long week otherwise.
Bummer when illness & vacation collide. Seems to happen often with kids.
