hi! nothing is set in stone, however some girlfriends (probably 3 of us) and i are looking at a weekend, midaugust to spend park hopping! i think we're looking at august 12, 12, 14, and leaving the 15. (park days being 12-14)

just want to gather as much info as possible so we know what is and isn't feasible for some college kids. i don't think any of us have been there since we were wee tikes!
(additionally, im an admitted WDW junkie so i'm familiar with disney operations, just not DL specifically.)

All good-neighbor hotels offer a shuttle service, correct? I don't want to pay for parking :c
2-day parkhopper vs 3-day parkhopper: is staying the extra day really worth it?
And what is your opinions on parkhopping at disneyland?
(The first time i went, we park hopped and it was GREAT! but the last time we stayed for just a day at the magic kingdom and didnt, however theres well enough to do at MK for a day)
Is it ridiculously crowded late summer, or just kinda crowded?

my head is buzzing with questions but if i ask anymore, i might as well be asking you to plan our trip! :rotfl:

edit:
did i mention we're college age? lol! we're trying to do this as cheap as humanly possible. the budget board will be my next stop. ;D

Welcome to the DLR (left coast) board. :hippie:

I just posted this in another thread. Here's your starting point:

"A DLR Guide for WDW Vets" www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1162599

Read this twice & then read the rest of his tip threads (see his signature) & it will start to all come together.

Park Hopping is the way to go when it's crowded (or anytime). Here's a thread that might be helpful:

"Why I ParkHop at DLR" by Hound 109 www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1491961

Also, Get there early each day (if you can), 3 day Park Hopper gets you MM (use it!!), KNOW how to use FP (see Hydroguy's tips), & even if going "on the cheap"....stay at a motel on Harbor which is a short walking distance.

Have fun!

:)

Good nieghbor hotels is a misnomer. They are not the closest or the cheapest they only have marketing deal with DLR.

Almost all the hotels that aren't real close have ART a kind of public shuttle. Doesn't cost too much.

3 day is better especially on a weekend. You can do a lot in two but 3 I think is the happy medium. Park Hopping itself is a must on a multiday trip, it really lets you maximize a short trip. I'm not sure if you mean the MK in WDW or the MK in DL, now always called DL.

It will be kinda crowded since it's summer really crowded on the weekend.
